Some people do it wrong but the point of PC culture is treating others with respect. It’s coming from a good place, which makes me simply baffled when people call it things like “despicable.”
Personally, I feel being vehemently against PC culture is ridiculous. In my opinion, when you criticize people for criticizing real issues, you become a part of the problem,
because you are showing that you are more concerned with people who are supposedly infringing upon your liberties than people who are actually having their liberties infringed upon (which is what they’re concerned with).Exactly.

Power Glove is one of my favourite bands, and this new track is just amazing.
Let me add my two cents:
A movie (or any piece of art) can be objectively bad or good. There are plenty of aspects in which, say, Attack of the Clones fails. This is the objectivity of art. Bad dialogue, acting, and storyline make a movie bad. These things are basically what makes a movie a movie, and failing at that is enough to call a movie “bad”.
However, you can still like an objectively “bad” movie. For example, Sharknado is an objectively bad movie, but I still kind of love it sense it entertains me. A movie’s “bad” or “good” status doesn’t hinder your ability to like it.

I always like reading Bingo’s posts because he seems to look at life in a sort of wondrous way.
I think we just need a better benefits and retirement package for the site.

I think he just realized that since the computer was looking for 238 animals but wasn’t finding Grant and the kids that it must only be looking for 238 animals.
This happens much later in the book because all of those systems are down until Grant actually makes it back to the lodge with the kids.

Well they did know there was a set number, that’s how it was designed, it’s just that they didn’t ever think to check for more than their maximum number because they didn’t think that there was any reason to until they added another animal to the park, in which case they’d update the “maximum expected animals” number and everything would be okay. If I recall correctly, there was a system to alert them if the tracker reported for a number lower than expected, but never higher than expected, because they didn’t think it was possible. That’s why I wish they explained it more in the script here, because the book makes their hubris more obvious.
It’s one of the many oversights that led to the downfall of the park, as we’ll see.
Maybe you can convince Superman to wear it then since you love them so much!

This scene in the book is one of my favourites aside from the part where they start getting it all back together and then… well, book people know. I’m a bit sad that they didn’t take some time to talk a bit more about the tracking system and how it worked before the tour.
