Someone is posting the first draft of the Jurassic Park script on Facebook!
Time

107-109

In these final pages, the boat is phoned, the dinosaurs are wrapped up in a way that allows for no sequels (but less fire-y than in the book), and everyone seems alright.

I dunno. I feel like it was a bit of an abrupt anti-climax. I preferred the book’s more ambiguous ending, and I really enjoyed the trip to the raptor nests from the book. But it’s still very interesting to see a different take.

That’s it, everyone! Feel free to read them all together now if you so desire.

Thanks to Scallenger (the original uploader), we also have it in other lovely formats:

PDF
His personally-retyped PDF(there may be some issues where text wasn’t legible, but it’ll be easier to read)
Retyped Word Doc

Definitely worth a read now that it’s complete. Thanks, Scallenger!

The Random Star Wars Pics & GIFs Thread

George wants to build a museum to put all his cool movie memorabilia, but there was a lot of lobbying against it in San Francisco, so he decided to go to Chicago and now people are lobbying against it there.

It’s really stupid. I’d love to see half of the crazy stuff he’s collected over the years, and I’m sure people would come to see it.

Extended original cut of first film released way back?

GL tinkered with TESB between the 70 mm interpositives and the 35 mm interpositives. Likely they needed the 70 mm before he was truly done with the film and he had some additional time to fine tune (like virtually all movies go through before release). There is no evidence he touched either version after it was in release. And what edits to TPM are you speaking of? I’m aware of some edits to ATOC between the 35 mm distribution and the digital distribution (the digital one is basicly the DVD).

TPM used to feature a shot of Maul tumbling down the reactor shaft in one piece. It was quickly swapped out with a shot of two pieces to indicate he was dead.

Not that that made any difference to his resurrection.

If you had to have one OT backstory ruined by Lucas, who would it be?

Imagine you could have a talented director makes the prequels, but you would have to sacrifice one backstory to the devil himself, George Lucas. Who would you pick?

I think it would be Boba Fett for me. He is the definition of overrated. He’s cool, but not that cool and does nothing except help find Han Solo.

I think you’ll find your wish to have Fett’s backstory ruined was granted if you watch Attack of the Clones.

Unfortunately the sacrifice was in vain.
