Yeah, it’s all compounded on all the other years of changes.
Yeah, it’s all compounded on all the other years of changes.
They keep my feet very warm.
Mine wasn’t good either.
The other two posts are a mystery it seems.
I believe PMs are counted in this system and he did mention he contacted Jay about the duration of his ban.
I miss my sock.
He follows him around replying to ImpScum almost as much as he does you.
Wookiee Shaman hunt?
This speculation could easily turn into a witch hunt. Wait until we have something more concrete to go on before you set up that duck scale.
Ah HA! So it’s you then! Of course, it makes sense. You’re always conspicuously absent when this is all going on… plus who would suspect a moderator?
Nailed it.
I am afraid I can’t help ya then, mate.
Here ya go mate.
The idea is more that the lightning burns the disguise away rather than it reveals a person’s true form.
I had the thought earlier today… when was the last time ImpScum posted anything that wasn’t argumentative or self-aggrandizing? He did use to contribute to discussions outside of Off Topic.
It’s imperialscum.
This is my new working theory.
From what I’ve heard, the lightning more or less burned away his disguise more than it magically reveals a person’s true form.

Also that.

Try these.
I think the main idea is that the lightning reveals Palpatine’s “true form” and that he was twisted and deformed by the Dark Side beforehand and was able to mask his appearance somehow before the lightning.
I know I’ve said this before, but I’m certainly glad the EU got the axe. It’s cool to relearn the post-Jedi Star Wars galaxy, and there was far more crap than good in the EU as it was. Not to mention ugly, forced retcons.
I think Timothy Zahn coming back is pretty cool, though. Were I a writer, I think it might be neat to be able to go back and write a character I created from a different angle. What it means to me is that a lot of the cream of the old EU will rise to the top of the new EU: the good stories and characters and plots will be seen again.
It’s odd, actually. I could never play a game like Battlefront offline. It never occurred to me that people would want to play that way.
That said, having thought about it, I understand why certain people would want to.
One post per hour is too stringent. I mean, the Politics thread would be way less lively if that were the case.
I mean for new members. Lots of forums essentially have tiers, with the new member tiers having limited abilities. You can ask a question with your one post per [time limit], but you can’t spam. Once you reach a certain duration as a member, or post count, your limits can be reduced.
It doesn’t prevent spammers from existing, but it slows them down. It makes it so they have to spend a week or more building up an account just for their several minutes of being a dick-face. Making admin-approved account creation will hopefully prevent them from just starting (and maintaining) 12 of them at once to build up an array of accounts.
Yeah, new member restrictions makes sense to me. Things like no images or links before X amount of posts, that kind of thing.
Man, Ray. I’m sorry.
Indeed.
Yeah, something needs to be done. There aren’t enough moderators online at this time of day.
Wario was banned ages ago, but keeps coming back in new sock accounts. Johny_Sasaki is the most recent iteration. Then he makes further sock accounts to spam off-topic with anime porn maybe once every couple weeks.
It’s been a few weeks now, and this is the first time it’s been General Star Wars Discussion, actually.
Freaking love Talking Heads.
