Happy Birthday George!
Happy Birthday George!
Now they're tiny? You guys have weird eyes.
HMMM.....yeah okay never noticed the face before. Something's going on with that but that arm is definitely real.

There's been speculation that the small person handing the lightsaber to Leia in the trailer is Lupita's character, in which case it looks like her skin may be orange now.
I quite literally believe the people who think that hand is CG are insane.
I honestly think you guys are making mountains of molehills. I think the shot was setup in a way so that the front engine wasn't in the shot but was still physically there.
I'm just wondering why they decided the character had to be a previously established CG alien from the prequels. There are plenty of prosthetic options that would have delivered an exotic look while allowing the actress' performance to shine through instead of under a ton of CGI.

Hey, it was good enough to win an Academy Award!
Looks like a Gossam as introduced in AOTC:

You really can't give that judgement without having seen the first season.
Seriously missing out.
The non-character was obliterated in AOTC. We need something like Von Sydow to restore the character's dignity.
Kirk probably caught it.

There's been next to no credible speculation on the second. There's really been nothing about the third.
Take me to the alternate universe where this happened:

I can see the blurrgs already!
Or what they had to cut out of The Rescuers for home video release....
Anyway, Knick Knack was made in that period shortly after Steve Jobs had bought them from Lucasfilm and they were a free agent doing commercials and trying to sell computer hardware. Before Toy Story and the Disney acquisition.
It was revealed back in July of last year that George considered Boba alive.

There's so much hype, I think a very low key poster will get the audience even more frothed up.
There's currently one of those floating around theaters:

And then there's the Celebration exclusive poster I was able to snag while there as well:

Yes, it's literally just the logo squished and stretched to fill the entire poster. =P

If Disney ignores the prequels but keeps promoting the SEs, how are they going to explain who that ghost next to Yoda at the end of ROTJ is?
First of all, it's still Lucasfilm, not Disney at the wheel.
Secondly, at Celebration there was a lot of prequel love. There was a clear undercurrent of resentment toward the current OT focus.
I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before it resumes infecting the rest of the franchise. It's already started in the Marvel comics.
Resentment from whom?
There are plenty of prequel references in Rebels, so it's not like it's being ignored.
The Clone Wars are 50 years in the past by the time of Episode 7.
Fans. There was quite a lot of murmuring for attention to be brought back to the PT era. As for Rebels, that's Clone Wars stuff. I know I'm not alone in holding that show in a much higher regard than the PT.
I'm sure as long as JJ and or Kasdan are involved the new trilogy will probably steer clear of that stuff. But the young twenty-somethings that are coming up are chomping at the bit for synergy between the two trilogies.

It tickles me how supposed hardcore Star Wars fans like the above fellow enjoy only two movies--hell, very specific versions of two movies--in a franchise spanning nearly four decades. Makes you think.
I beg your pardon! Watch where you're pointing that finger mister!
I'll have you know I quite enjoyed The Caravan of Courage!

Having never seen Willow, it generally doesn't cross my mind.
This must be rectified, STAT!
Turns out that poster has some interesting history to it. Yes, it did in fact start out as fan art. But after it blew up online Paramount reached out to the artist and it ended up becoming official and was subsequently used worldwide:

Ooo, yeah Ross would be great.
