Shattered Empire is the best modern Marvel storyline that I’ve read thus far, followed by Kanan.

I don’t suppose you’re the proud owner of that original comic art page?
I wish!
Then you have the chase between the Tantive and the Devastator. As it is in the film a chase is not exactly possible until Vader trudges back to his shuttle flys back to the devastator then flys off to get to the Tantive. This does not make sense either.
How does that not make sense. Would you have liked to see him teleported to the bridge of his ship?
Remember the force will be with you… Always

There’s the Tantive flying back from it’s mission to tattooine showing up to recieve the plans from the original cut of the film whilst alongside the Devastator.
So…what you’re saying is you believe in the original cut of Rogue One Leia is successful in her mission to bring back General Kenobi from Tatooine.
Okay…
After the huge shoot out in the hallway there’s no denying her involvement. Captain Antilles and Princess Leia are both just delaying Vader for as long as possible, hoping Artoo can get away and find Obi-Wan. As for the transmissions being beamed. We don’t know if Vader saw that soldier hand off that data tape. His mission as mandated by Tarkin is to mop up the space battle and prevent ships from escaping. So he could have been on his way to try to stop the Tantive from launching. Alternatively, as the Tantive was docked inside of Raddus’ ship, Vader could consider them both just one vessel and as we saw, the plans were beamed up in about four or five chunks simultaneously.
I strongly believe that George “borrowed” most of Ki-Adi Mundi’s story for Anakin. There are a lot of parallels between the two characters. I used to have them all memorized but it’s been years since I last read those comics. The biggest one that comes to mind at the moment is that Mundi is appointed to the Council before achieving the rank of Jedi Master. If someone else wants to chime in with other parallels I’d appreciate it.
As for why I think this. George is well known for reading and enjoying all of the Star Wars comics. He’s been sighted numerous times from the prequel era through to the Disney era of coming out of comic shops with the latest issues in hand. In Attack of the Clones he canonized Aayla Secura a comic character and later in Revenge of the Sith name drops her master. He would later go on to introduce said character in the Clone Wars television series.
It’s also not without precedence. Quite a few character designs and locations from the Droids animated series found their way throughout the Prequels.
In this thread: people who have never heard of animatronics before.
So while everyone’s been speculating about the appearance of Bail Organa, most have neglected this shot:
The hair looks too dark but he has the cheekbones and carries himself like Tarkin. Dunno…
So who called it…? =P
It’s the “Marvel Epic Collection” volume 1. It collects Star Wars #1-23 and material from Pizzazz #1-16 & Star Wars Weekly (UK) #60, according to the back cover.
Fantastic, glad to see the UK stories being preserved and presented!
A very short prequel to Rogue One. 😉

It’s an interesting 360 degree short from ILMxLAB. Navigation is in the upper left corner.
Watch this on a smartphone for best effect.
Someone hasn’t seen The Nice Guys… Gosling was great in that!
I too question whether mo cap is at the point where it can capture micro movements of the face. I would think so but perhaps it is more work and more money than it is worth. I dont know.
It seems that overacting is currently the only way to bring life to CG characters. Golum is an example of that. He is overacted and it is fitting for the character. Same goes for Andy Serkis’ portrayal of Caesar in the contemporary Ape films. In contrast, Snoke looks somewhat wooden. CG does not seem to capture subdued performances well.
Where are these ideas about Geonosis being in the film coming from? Rebels paid a visit to the planet before and it was already devoid of life. So that would be a major contradiction in the canon.
The Prequel novel deals with having to move the Death Star because Geonosis is relatively close to a major hyperspace lane and they want a more secure location. Which contributed to the 20 year delay for the project.
Then lastly, the very first teaser ever shown featured the Death Star hidden over a jungle planet. So I don’t see how Geonosis was ever in the cards.
I wonder why they cut the scene of the tie fighter rising to meet Jyn on the comm tower? It was the most dramatic visual in all the trailers.

The TIE fighter rose up and was about to shoot Jyn but an X-Wing swooped in and destryoed it last second. Since the filmmakers felt like it was too repetitive with the AT-AT moment that happened minutes earlier, they decided to cut the sequence from the scene.
In hindsight, I’m actually happy they decided to cut it.
Where did that guy hear that? Reliable sources I’m familiar with have stated that was just a test effects shot that marketing decided to use.
Yeah, having animators tweak the capture data is pretty standard practice on every production.
Even beyond transmitting their facial micromovements (which I think didn’t happen with Tarkin)
No, Tarkin is definitely integral to the story of the Death Star and his role in the film was great if you don’t get hung up on the CG or voice.
Nope. It’s a shame too, he sounds a lot more authentic than the guy from Rogue One. At least he got to play Admiral Raddus.
We have our very first anthology film and people are already complaining about fatigue.
They’re literally the longest running Star Wars podcast. Used to be the Forcecast before the people that run TFN ran them off. So they set off on their own and rebranded as RebelForceRadio. They’ve been doing it so long they have tons of connections inside Lucasfilm and get lots of great interviews and inside information. Just recently they’ve even been tasked with official hosting duties at the stateside Celebration conventions.

Good luck with Korra. It has some great moments but it never lived up to the quality of the original series for me.
Yeah the Dr Evanzan and Walrusman Cameo felt really forced in there… But it was a heavily cut down sequence. There were meant to be a lot more shot’s showcasing the weirdo’s in Jedha city. So many creature effects and animatronics were totally cut from this part it’s sad. we were meant to not only see the Local’s and the Kyber Miners but some of the abominations created by Dr. Evanzan called the Decraniated (Cyborg Slaves). We also miss a small part where a Bounty Hunter was tracking Dr Evanzan and Walrusman.
You’re reading way too much into the visual guide. This is on par with believing The Tales of the Mos Eisley Cantina novel is a detailed account of a bunch of cut scenes from Star Wars.
Haha, Krennic socks!
