They didn't do a scout trooper set? O_o That's pretty cool and funny that they include the shadow trooper. It's also odd how popular the shadow troopers have been growing the last couple years. They've been around since 1979 when they were introduced in the very first weekday arc of the newspaper strips.
Aww, I missed the clip. =(

The 2011 Black List — Franklin Leonard’s annual compilation of the year’s “most liked” screenplays that have not yet been produced — was announced this morning, comprised of scripts that will satisfy every genre curiosity, from historical crime to Internet rom-com to intentional Steven Spielberg derivative (introducing another movie called Jurassic Park). Acquaint yourself with the films that could be next year’s Juno and The Social Network below.
CHEWIE by Evan Susser, Van Robichaux (59)
A satirical behind the scenes look at the making of Star Wars through the eyes of Peter Mayhew who played Chewbacca.

It's a holiday special, not a christmas special. It was broadcast on November 17th; so if anything, it was a thanksgiving special.
Thank you!
I'm reading a number of things right now...
Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods by Frank Darabont
The original script before Lucas took over and...did what he did. I think I'm almost half way through and man do I wish this had been it instead.
Interview With the Giant: Ethnohistorical Notes on the Nephilim by Judd H. Burton
It's pretty much what the title says. =P An anthropological study of the Nephilim found in the Bible. Very fascinating stuff.
A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
I think I'm about two thirds of the way through this book. It's a great read.
Er but wait which version did you see? I hope it was the director's cut. Apparently the studio really screwed up the theatrical version.
Melancholia (2011)
Went and saw this tonight. Coincidentally Kiefer Sutherland also has a role in this. I saw the trailer for it last week and it looked interesting. It uh....was very artful but not much else. I spent most of the movie wanting to slap Kirsten Dunst. All I can really say about it is that it tastes like ashes.

I'm not sure how abrupt the announcement of its cancellation was, but I don't think it ever did well enough that anyone should have expected a second season.
I was actually referring to LOST in that first part addressed to you. =P
CP3S: How sudden was the announcement of the shows cancellation? Do you think it might have been a case of them trying to tie everything up as quickly as they could before the end?
As for Life on Mars yeah I'm watching the short lived American version but that's only because that's all that's available on Netflix. =P
Lost
Finally finished this show recently. I'm confused by how confused others found the ending. It made perfect sense to me and was a fitting end to the series however much I might disagree with it theologically. =P
Life on Mars
An odd show I randomly decided to start watching after I finished Lost. I was surprised and amused to find it starred the dad from Terra Nova.
Not that far in the book so I can't comment on how it's described there but the Barsoomians seem to be pretty faithful to how the book describes except for the fact that they should probably be bulkier and a darker green. Though it's hard to tell from the trailers they do seem to be about as tall as they're described in the book.
Well except for the fact that it takes place on Mars so of course everything is going to be orange and a coliseum is a coliseum. =P
That's a terrible trailer. The teaser was better. It's directed by the guy who wrote and directed Wall•E so I'm definitely looking forward to it. The series is a classic. Especially the first book the Princess of Mars which was Edgar Rice Burroughs first novel and what the film is based on. I've always wanted to read them and with the film coming up now is definitely the time. As someone on Youtube put it:
If you believe the likes of Roddenberry and Lucas (to name a few) weren't influenced by Burroughs' work, you ought to read this book.
Actually Oldfan that trailer was in 3D....yeah.
Hugo (2011)
Decided to go see this this past weekend to see what Scorsese could do with 3D. The 3D was alright but the story was fantastic! The trailers don't do this film justice at all! If you love film and its history I highly recommend you go check it out and while it's still in theaters.
Have any of you read the interview with Marquand I posted a while back? That thread seemed to get buried pretty quickly but it had a lot interesting tidbits from the man himself.

I got a key for an Old Republic beta test and then totally forgot to redeem it in time. Anyone played it yet?
I was able to play in the last two beta weekends. It's a lot of fun. I played as an Imperial Agent, awesome story. You're basically like 007 in space. Gonna be a Smuggler once it's released but I'll probably also have an Agent for my Imperial guild.
As for Jurassic Park it's not all quicktime events. There's also a lot of puzzle solving. I really enjoyed it and it has a good story. I bet your friend really dug it.
Then I don't think you'll be a fan of TPM3D Harmy. I saw the trailer a while back and it's....disappointing. There was barely any depth to the thing at all.
Buddy, I highly recommend the Dark Times comic series.
Star Trek: TAS (1973-74)
I got back into a Star Trek kick lately so I finally finished watching all of the original series(my favorite Trek). I then moved on to the animated series and just recently finished that. I loved all of it with the exception of one episode (The Magicks of Megas-tu). The show still retained that original Trek feel that I love. I just wish the episodes and the series itself had been longer. Now that I've finished with that I think I'll read all of the Year Four comics before moving on to the films.
Well I don't know, Blur got into the business because they want to make films. All this amazing work they've done on commercials was just to get their name out there and to establish good relationships with various IP holders. In the hopes that later on they'd be open to letting them do more. Their endgame has always been feature films.
A man can dream! =(
Oh man, I didn't realize the first ep was out! *rushes to go watch*
