A Flash of Spoofs (Released)
Time
I would have to check (at home) to see how many I have so far. Some of them contain several parts which will be edited into one. Pulp Phantom for instance is 18 parts and I will edit that into one film with chapter stops at each part. There are a bunch over at the Star Wars spoofs web page too. These will all be made for a DVD video so you can enjoy it on your TV. I have converted some so far. The quality is pretty good since most flash files are in vector form. Converting them is pretty easy, although sometimes the audio can be a pain in the ass to sync up if the audio is broken into small chunks instead of one continuous track.

I would like to get enough to fill up a SL DVD. I am sure there is still room for some more. I also have some making of stuff to add as bonus material.

I substituted the pic for the SW back cover. the picture was close enough, although i realised that the helmet was different. i just found a good version of the poster that was used for the original album back for SW. it is a bit cloudy much like the vinyl release. I'll replace it and see how it looks.

as for the ESB cover, yeah that was the image used on the advance poster for ESB, so I guess they just used an image from SW.

OK, here is a preview of the CD covers I made for these. I still haven't redone the ESB front, if anyone has a nice high res version of that poster or image used I would be happy to redo it. The ones I have are kinda crappy and pixelated. otherwise I'll up these soon. I tried to keep them close to the album covers, yet make them all sort of similar to each other. let me know what you think.

30th Anniversary DVD Idea
Time
for getting stuff from youtube, do a google search, there are websites that can extract the flv file from the web site. You can then convert the flv to an mpg using either a web converter, or some software that you have. I usually try to clean the videos up a bit, especially if they are widescreen, by rematting the vid. Regardless of what you do, the video isnt going to be that great though (really crappy at times)

30th Anniversary DVD Idea

I think all of the stuff you have listed above is too much for a SL DVD. But if you said you have AVI files from the web, you may want to stick to the material that I didnt put on the DVD I made. I'll pm you about it. As for some instruction for editing, converting, and authoring, there are lots of experienced people here, lots of good tutorials, and you can find great help over at fanedit dot org also. The best idea is lay out what you actually want on the DVD, without restrictions, and then talk to people to see if its possible and how you can go about it. I'll try to help if I can with some ideas. I know a bit, but there are people here with more experience than me. Hopefully everyone can get you going in the right direction. Its always nice to have more people contributing
