Sitting in a PACKED theater today, there were few 12yo girls.

There was a gaggle of college-aged chicks, but *everyone* was surprisingly well-behaved in the theater today, it blew my mind, there were none of the usual people that ruin a movie by talking on the phone or freaking out for no reason.

The crowd laughed at all the right places and were quiet when it was appropriate, they all even clapped at the end. I usually don't feel that energy any other place than midnight shows full of fervent fans...it was quite amazing.

I liked the inclusion of the pipe organ in the soundtrack, you just don't hear much of that these days and its a welcome respite from other over-used conventions.

I agree, they could have at least left his son to a sequel or something down the road, but bringing him out in the first film in the "re-boot" of the franchise wasn't the smartest thing, in my opinion.

Well, I saw it again today, and I still enjoyed it.

Still, the fact remains that it has a relatively weak central plot that felt more like an episode of a television series rather than a feature-length film.

After watching a 60" for most of my life, when I go over to people's houses and try to watch their TVs and I find myself straining to make out all of the details.

Now that I have all of Dragon Ball, I am trying to get into Kenshin, but its a big commitment if I like volume one to get 28 volumes. My shelf space is already being eaten up by my ever-growing collections of One Piece, Death Note, and Yu-Gi-Oh, which will have 38 volumes at completion. (Don't call me a nerd for liking Yu-Gi-Oh. It's really good in manga form. Even the uncut anime can't live up to it.)

I DID try collecting them...I got up to 19 before I gave up.
