I also resorted to the 'bay to get my Trigun and Samurai Champloo DVDs. They are of dubious origin, but they are indeed factory pressed discs and have a great picture.
We can start off with a list of your favorites, new discoveries, or suggestions on people starting out in either.
Myself, I took Ric's suggestion and purchased the first three volumes of Kenshin(gotta love Books A Million's buy two get one free), and so far its turning out to be better than I expected, considering what little I saw of the anime wasn't exactly my cup of tea at the time.
Bloody Mac-users and their ways of persuasion! I will not be taken in by your sorcerer's ways!
Just kidding, I'll look into them and see if I can persuade someone in my immediate family that I'll need an mp3 player for college, because I don't have quite enough funds to cover one.
Are the video models truly worth it? One of my Brasilian friends got one when he came here, but he didn't want to take it out of the box until he got home, and he had a pretty high opinion of them.
Oh, I saw POTCII again tonight, and despite the fact that we had TWO talkers behind us, a wailing 7 year old who laughed at EVERYTHING, and some crazy pirate people wearing pirate hats and bandanas(which I would have thought was cool had they not come in five minutes in to the movie and made a big ruckuss), I still stand by my conviction that this is a fantastic film.
Just like DiCaprio everyone seems to have it in for Bloom. Honestly, I don't think the haters can give any solid reasons why they hate DiCaprio and Bloom, they are both fine actors that have, like any other actors, had maybe one or two bad projects. Can anyone say Harrison Ford and Hollywood Homicide? I don't see any Harrison Ford haters out there belittling him for being in ONE bad movie.
Many of the dubs for the Adult Swim shows are pretty good as well (Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Big O, etc).
Though, if your a fan of one series its hard to realign yourself in regards to the voice actors' portrayal of a different character, seeing as they all share many voice actors in common.

Well, judging from what I've seen, it tweak the mythology considerably, and messing with continuity is likely to tick of longtimes Supes fans.
Well, I'm the guy who likes Lois and Clark more than George Reeves, if that says anything.
I've been trying to get people to go see this movie again with me, but I guess once is enough for most people these days, there is nothing quite like seeing a movie IN A THEATER rather than waiting for it to come out on DVD.
I agree about Singer, as much as I enjoy the X-Men films, there is always something in the back of my mind that says that they are missing SOMETHING that keeps them from being truly great.
The same way with Superman Returns...I enjoyed it and all, but it seems to lack a heart, just like all of Singers other films. Now, I am one of those who enjoyed XIII, maybe it was Singers "non-involvement" that made it better than the first two for me?
It spends far too long going absolutely nowhere to be considered a good film. But it is far to gol-durn entertaining to be called anything less than a MASTERPIECE.
Very succint and well put, Mr. Chaltab.
Its been less than 12 hours and I can't wait for the third installment.
