It's not clothing. Not a release date (Still way too soon for that). Not another print. Not more screenshots. It's from an idea one of the original member of the group had.

Team Negative1

If it's Star Wars cut & timed to match the Dark Side of the Moon, we're all going to be very disappointed.

 speak for yourself

Okay, fine. But Funky Cold Medina would be way better.

 I'd be ok with that.

Well, it is Sunday morning. I've noticed over the years that many people go offline for a time and will return either Sunday afternoon or evening.

I lost my internet connection.  As of today, it was seeded through to ALL those waiting.  As promised.

I hope we will have some folks stay on and seed.  It would help immensely.

Enjoy!!!

I'm glad you're back and finished seeding the torrent.

I hope everything with your connection works out.

And yes, I will continue to seed.

You are welcome mackit.  My connection isn't huge so I'm glad folks are being patient.  I will stay on seeding til a few folks get it 100% and then I'm going to let them take over.

Enjoy!!!!

No worries about how long it will take.

My philosophy is: good things take time. So, I'm willing for it to take time for a product of quality.

Info: Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan - ABC cut
Time

Here's the scene as it appears in the ABC TV cut.  If your friend's recording matches, then he has what we hope he has.

Thanks for the link.

I grew up with the ABC version with the tubolift scene from the link Chewtobacca put up. One thing always confused me about that scene when I was watching it in the 80's: when Kirk says " you may ask", he presses a button on the turbolift controls. I could never understood why he did that, nor McCoy's subsequent line when the doors open.

But, looking at my Director's Edition of TWOK with the static turbolift scene, when both Kirk & Saavik enter and the doors close, you can clearly hear a sound for the lift, indicating it is moving. When Saavik says "May I speak sir?", she touches the control panel, and the sound stops, indicating that the lift stopped and the button is a stop button. When Kirk says "You may ask" and presses the button, the sound resumes indicating the lift is moving again. When the doors open and McCoy asks "Who's been holding up the damn elevator?", his line makes sense.

Now, listening again to the ABC cut, Saavik never touches the stop button and the moving sound is continuous throughout their conversation. Now, Kirk still touches the button at "You may ask", but the sound was always there. When the doors open and McCoy asks his line, it doesn't really make sense.

While I prefer the acting in the ABC cut, the weird continuity error in it does make watching the scene a bit odd.

Now, if the scene existed in a good widescreen version, one could do some fancy editing and create a best of both worlds with that scene: cuts from one actor to the other, but including Saavik pressing the stop button, and editing the audio to have the sound stop when she presses the button and the sound resume when Kirk presses the button.

50G versions? That could fit on a 64GB USB flash drive.

They are quite small and lightweight now. Still a little pricey but it would be the ezast thing to ship.

I bought a 64Gb flash for my girlfriend last October. It cost me £12. My mate said to me after, that anything above 32Gb in flash form is currently unstable and could loose its data. My GF stick still works fine.

My GF still works my stick fine!

 Booerns!

Macross: Do You Remember Love? (Released)

Hi Poita and Matt:

I would be interested in a copy of the DYRL PCM audio file, too!  As well, could you walk me through on how to do a LD audio / video capture?  I have quite a few DYRL and Macross LDs on hand, but I'm not sure about the procedure. Thanks a lot!

I understand that Matt has been very busy with work and a big back log of other personal projects, so I would really like to get this project going.

I have the DYRL Limited Edition BD set that includes the Macross Flashback 2012 BD (DVD upscale) on hand.  And I have a few more DYRL audio tracks and fan subtitles that can be added onto the BD.

After 2+ months, my desktop computer is almost up to speed for HD video editing. Sony Vegas Pro 13 and Sound Forge 11 are installed on Windows 8.1 on an SSD, i7 4.5 GHz, 32 GB Ram and a 4 TB thunderbolt external hard drive.

I just need to do some file back ups and get my GTX 580 3GB Classified video card water cooled, which will take me most of this week to do.  I'm likely to need some video editing, sound editing, BD authoring, BD cover art advice for this fan edit, since I have not done an HD fan edit before.

I have been looking at these fanedit.org threads in preparation for this fan edit.

http://www.fanedit.org/forums/showthread.php?5168-Captain-Khajiit-s-Basic-Guide-to-Encoding-with-HCenc

While I'm really happy to see someone taking on this project, I just want to say to this about Evan's computer: drool !!!!!

I've registered and posted on their boards 2 days ago asking for an invite. So far, no answer. Do they normally take this long?

P.S. Not that I'm impatient, but I've been waiting for over a year for this project. Cannot wait to see it and bask in its awesomeness.

If you weren't impatient you would have waited longer than two days to come back here maybe looking for a quicker response.  LOL

We have had so much trouble with people flooding any thread they can for an invite only to hit n run over there and never come back here again that we changed how it was done.

I cannot stop someone here from sending you an invite via pm.  I am concerned about people signing up there only to hit n run.  They don't deserve the disrespect and neither do we.

Please give it a day or two longer then politely bump your request there.  Those folks are busy too.

Thanks

Someone helped me out. I received an invite , as of this post, I'm 55% completed.

Jetrell, I have no intention of doing a snatch & run. While I may not have the greatest of connections, I'm planning on seeding these for quite a while (with a ratio of over 1).

As an FYI, I'm also a member at another private torrent site with a high ratio demand. I seed over 50 torrents there and my ratio is currently 3:1.

I understand your concerns, but you do not need to worry about me.

Here is another 1080p sample from the very end of the movie. Just to change things up. Right before the credits.

Again, partial color correction has been done to it.

Note : There is quite a bit of damage on the far right hand side of the frame.

Team Negative1

 Nice.

Even if it's only been partially corrected, to me, the clip feels more cinematic than the official blurays.

Keep 'em coming.

For just a test, it's pretty darn good.

Yeah, there's dirt, damage, and instability, but it doesn't seem THAT bad. Compare what you have to "grindhouse" prints, or severe vinegar syndrome.

It doesn't have to look immaculate. Probably no screening outside the first week of release was. Just get it "close enough", and we'll be happy, won't we?

Other people can take it the extra mile later on if they want.

I completely agree. While I know that Negative One are going to want to clear up the film and make it look as good as possible; for me, after viewing a lot of their tests, I would be almost ready just to sit down and watch the entire film just like that.

If it were a hoax, explain the Cloud City scene that was just posted. I've been following this from the start, I was on the old private blog, I saw the behind-the-scenes footage (including monitor playback of footage from the final reels, with the same color fidelity as those stills), and this is definitely legit.

I saw that and was glad they posted it. Precisely what I wanted to see to silence the nay sayers (and I admit, silence the small part of me that was dreading this could have been a hoax): a 5 second clip that in the special editions was altered.

Now, let us sit back and appreciate the amazing work -1 are doing.

Superman (1941) (Mild-Mannered Edition) (Released)
Time

I was looking at my collection. I have the Fleischer series on 2 disc. The discs come from Platinum Disc Corporation, and they were released in 2004.

There are lots of problems with this release.

1) The audio was "digitally enhanced" in 5.1. Bleecccchh!!!

2) The distributor's logo will appear in the bottom right corner for a few seconds during each episode, like you see with TV station logo's.

3) The picture looks pretty soft.

From davextreme's posts, heseems to be working on looks and sounds like it will be far superior to what I have.
