Introducing... Pennsylvania Jones!

Falcon, Scamper is pretty cool.  If you search Youtube for "Scamper the Penguin Rescore", you'll find my fan edit.

I'll be sure to check it out...

EDIT: Saw and it looks nice! I did enjoy all that classic 80s movies music. It looks like a well animated, nice cartoon. Sad that Youtube wouldn't let you upload it in full quality though.

Chance to talk to Lucasfilm about the new SW Blu-rays. What do YOU want to know?

The Humdinger is fixed? But it's in the previews....same as the "fixed" sabers and color timing....

It would be like a dream if it turned out all the previews were not finalized Blu-Ray set footage and everything would be fixed unlike in the trailers. However, that would mean the bluray.com people were right. :-(

They fixed the Humdinger Glitch?

I'm surprised they would fixate on fixing something minor like this, but deciding not to correct all color timing issues, such as the blue hazes in the trailers.

Also, why was it in the Comic Con presentation? It isn't possible that none of the trailers were the final Blu-Ray; is it?

I did try snpp.com, but not through Google.  It appears that Homer the Clown 2F12 will do the trick.

Thanks!  Too bad you're already in the credits :p

Aww... you found it already. Is there anything I can do to get into the credits?

EDIT: If you haven't ripped the DVD yet, you can find the sound here from the episode "Milhouse doesn't live here anymore" in Season 15.

Alec Guinness Films Fully restored In HD (also getting a fresh cinema run).
Time

Oh that's good news. Most of Guinness's films were classics, and, as they are older, probably well deserving of full restoration. Hopefully, the restorations are not too invasive, as previous ones for old movies have been (*cough* James Bond *cough* Star Wars *cough*).

Still, I'm disappointed that we won't see the first time Alec Guinness play a ghost in HD:

Deleted scenes on the 2011 BD...
Time

Problem is that I never saw it in the theater, only on home video. Was the Alternate Biggs and Luke Reunion on the '97 SE VHSes' special features?

EDIT: On a seperate note, about the grappling hook, I'm willing to believe that if anyone can give any evidence. Perhaps there were changes between the first few prints and the rest... (and by evidence: not Harmy's video).

Introducing... Pennsylvania Jones!

Hey welcome! Glad you found this site and appreciate the Original Trilogy. I'm part of the newer generation, as well, so it's always nice to see there's more of us young people interested in this type of stuff. You'll find a lot of help on this site, if you're going to be doing video editing and preserving. Nice avatar by the way :-)

Out of curiosity, by newer generation, do you mean after 1998, if so, congratulations you're ot.com's newest youngest member!

Yeah, at least Antimatter followed through on his promises.

This.

Just noticed that he decided to blank all his posts... Ugh. I find this quite an obnoxious process as it makes it far harder to follow a thread when re-reading it.He probably wanted to protect his YouTube videos. I wouldn't be surprised if they were even removed from YouTube.

Out of curiosity, would blanking many posts be warrant for banning, or did JediTray do something else?

EDIT: I found his YouTube videos. There was a link on his profile page. He used some of Adywan's footage. There are two videos one for A New Hope and another for Empire Strikes Back.

I have no idea, but my thought was that it's part of the grand scheme to not repeat content (other than the commentaries?).

Probably: Lucas's grand scheme of nonsense

Wait a second... I just realized that there seems to be no scene where Palpatine directly says that he created Anakin with midichlorians and is his father. Wasn't that a filmed scene?

Deleted scenes on the 2011 BD...
Time

Does anyone know if the deleted scenes from the prequel DVD sets were completed at a resolution less than 1080p? If so, that would explain their odd absence?

Out of curiosity, was the Alternate Biggs and Luke Reunion ever released before? I vividly recall watching it... and thinking it odd that the pilot talking to them remembered Luke's father as "one of the best star pilot's in the galaxy and if you're half of that, you'll be all right." Please don't tell me I'm suffering from grappling hook syndrome...

TPM you can see the new cropping.

Honestly, I'm glad there's a new master. It did look awful on DVD. Now there's less of a pink tint.

AotC and RotS look the same, maybe a pixel or two shaved off RotS.

Wait a second, but I thought there was discussion a few pages ago that there were new frames in both. Is it now confirmed that they're just the same master?

Worst Dialogue from Revenge of the Sith.
Time

"I saw security footage of Anakin.......... KILLING YOUNGLINGS!"

I'm sorry but for some reason, Ewan McGregor's delivery of this just seemed flat out awful to me, which is surprising since he's a good actor. He seems to put his hand on his mouth to smother a laugh, like he's thinking "Why am I saying this?" Natalie Portman's reaction is a bit much as well. It seems like something out of a sitcom where you're supposed to laugh since the character's flat out lying.
