STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **

The only thing I wish that could get the ‘Adywan treatment’ in that scene, would be for Luke to be the one whom sends Fett into the Sarlaac.

Looks like Lucas considered it. Sure enough, I never noticed it before. There is a lightsaber slash across the middle of Boba’s Jet Pack when Han bumps it with his stick-

Some of the segments from the deleted storyboard sequence could be incorporated into Boba Fett’s new death scene.

Yes, sorry.
On another note something noticed about the throne room duel was how Luke hits his lightsaber off of almost every object in the room and it bounces off all of them without leaving a scratch.
Perhaps adding some sort of saber scaring/glow could be in order.

Yes, this is true for all the lightsaber scenes in TESB:R.

I can’t stress this enough, but someone should look into voice dubbing for a PT fan edit. Adywan was going to attempt this for PT:R to help change the story. This was one of the things I remember that I was looking forward to about it.

With fan edits like The Blackened Mantle, it was also one of the things that made it a game changer.

I’ve been looking into this myself for a ST fan edit

I wonder when adywan will be revealing the plan that he had outlined for PT:R?

Some of the things that I heard about were instead of C-3PO being built by Anakin, he was going to start as a protocol droid for the Queen, the duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin on Mustafar was going to take place in AOTC, and Obi-Wan was going to have two apprentices.

If it can be done, then I say to go about making a proper death scene for Boba Fett. There’s no way someone can actually sit through that goofy scream he makes when he’s hurtled through the air, then the Sarlacc belching afterward. The whole scene is just too silly now.

Also, before that, he says “What the!” in a voice that doesn’t sound like Jason Wingreen or Temuera Morrison.

Except for the ST, it doesn’t have to fit in with Disney’s SW canon.

I’m in the process of rewriting the change list for the first post which will go more in-depth as to the changes planned. But i can say that Yub Nub and Lapti Nek will be back.

Great! Looking forward to it.

One last question: is it still being planned to end it with the funeral pyre scene?

Frame by Frame Audio Scrubbing
Time

Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro have audio scrubbing, a feature that allows you to hear how the audio track sounds when moving the cursor through each frame within the timeline.

IMO, this helps a lot for more precision with audio editing. Vegas Pro doesn’t have this feature and for me, it’s frustrating; but right now I’m stuck with it.

Out of curiosity, for those who work with fan edits, do you rely on frame by frame audio scrubbing?

Also, is there any other software that allows this feature? Media Player Classic has it when moving the frame by frame, but it’s unreliable when working with a multi-channel audio mix for each track.

Since deleted scenes won’t be reinserted for ROTJ:R, I’d like to attempt a restoration on them, such as upscaling, film scratch cleanup, etc., for when it’s completed.

I wouldn’t attempt going at the Tatooine Sandstorm sequence as that scene IMO is unnecessary, but I might go ahead at it for the sake of it.

This is just confusing. Their arms are the same in RO as in ANH??? What adywan did was chnage who’s arm got chopped off, to match what happens in the scene. We see Dr Evazan pull a gun to shoot Ben, then Ben cuts at Evazan and Ponda’s arm ends up on the floor with the blaster. So Ady switch the arms to make it so that Evazan’s arm is on the floor, becuase it makes more sence with what we saw happen. It was a mistake born form Geoge Lucas’s inexperiance with fight scene at the time, quite why he never thought to adress it as one of the many chnages he made in his SE I can’t fathom.

Evazan is also the one screaming in pain after Obi-Wan pulls out his lightsaber.

Are the JSC LD's the TRUE Releases of the Theatrical Version(s)?
Time

Were the 1995 Faces VHS versions released in Pan & Scan or Squeezed?

Interesting that the Theatrical audio for ANH has never had an official digital format release but the video portion of it has.

It has in fact been released digitally, in Japan, on Laserdisc, as stated above.

What do you mean?

Some of the Dirty Harry films.

The original stereo mixes for Back to the Future haven’t made their way to DVD/BD either.

The mono mix for Star Wars has NEVER been released on video officially!

Yes. A lot actually.
It seems like it’s more rare for the original mono to be included then not.

Sorry, I forgot to say original mono tracks. While it’s true the original tracks for the films mentioned above have never been digitally released, the 5.1 mixes still sound the same as their originals with no noticeable changes made to it.

The only film I know of where this has happened is SW:ANH. While the mono has never been officially released, the original stereo mix was first released for home media in 1982. Then in 1985 the original stereo track was remixed with changes being done to some of the sound effects and a line of dialogue being added. This was used for every home media release until the 1993 USDC/1995 Faces where it was remixed again with elements from the mono mix and new sound effects added with these changes being carried over to the GOUT DVD; and the rest is history after 1997.

Besides ANH, are there any other films where the original mono/stereo mix never got released on DVD/Blu-ray?
