I think that's something they're trying to push in the EU. In Rogue Leader (the video game) Wedge is among Luke's childhood friends in the training segment.

But yeah, their confusion between Biggs and Red Leader's death is pretty hilarious.

You know, I distinctly remember hearing about some 80's star who went like this.

One day, a fan knocked on her door with flowers, and she answered, at which point the two carried a brief conversation. When it was over, he pulled out a gun and shot her dead.

There's far too many similarities.

Urrgh... sounds fitting for someone with that sense of humor. There's a definite line between "Celebrity Crush" and "Stalker with Issues". This guy sounds far on the other side of the spectrum.
