I was only suggesting that you spice up your OP to improve interest.

Wrong section. Also, how's this for a better profile. An attention getter. Something to really inform and hype what you're doing. Something like-
A number of us here at OT.com, while liking the original versions, also have a soft spot for the 1997 cuts of this ever-so-special trilogy. However, the continual edits from Mr. Lucas meant that several changes were enacted for the 2004 DVD. Now, there do exist several high-quality versions of these cuts, but some of us have overwhelming nostalgia for the original analog formats they were released on. Thus, I found it necessary to work on a preservation effort of the original VHS tapes.
Why in the name of God did you watch FernGully?!
Honestly, the harder they try, the less imposing the villain'll be.
I find Sauron in the 1978 version to be far more imposing than Sauron in the Peter Jackson version, and you know why?
I find Sauron's design over-the-top trying to be scary. What with the spikes all over his uniform, and the over-the-top death.
In the 1978 film, however, he's never seen, and carries more of a presence because of it.
That's why I think the Emperor works. Two films of buildup, and his design isn't too over-the-top (even if his voice is), but he's still imposing when he shocks Luke with lightning from his fingertips.
This isn't that radical, but I thought it'd be nice. it would require a few seconds of new footage.
In the ending, still cut it to be that Padme lives (thus removing her death with the over-dramatic chorals as well as Bail saying he'll take custody of the child), but cut the giving of Luke to Beru so that we don't see the last shot of them gazing at the twin suns. At the front shot of Owen being handed Luke, iris wipe to Padme's funeral, recut slightly (no gungans). What could work even better about it this time is that the little girl walking in the procession could be assumed to be Leia. Afterward, fade to Luke (around 8-9), working on a moisture vaporator, then turning his attention to the skyline. Iris wipe. Credits.
Also, Vader's Transformation would be handled differently. His retrieval wouldn't be shown, and his reconstruction wouldn't be interspersed with the birth of the twins, either. Instead, a single sequence would show quick shots of his reconstruction, each fading to black before going to the next one, until Vader rotates up on the medical table. Fade to black, have us hear wheezy breathing from ROTJ, until it slowly morphs into his familiar breaths.

Thanks for proving my point.
In 1986 they attempted to extend the lifetime of the Kenner Star Wars line, and one of the concepts was literally two Star Destroyers smashed together. No kidding.
Back in the 80's, I saw a huge triple hulled SD model at a county fair of all places, complete with a tiny Millennium Falcon fleeing in front of it. It was a work of art. I can't even imagine how many hours it took to create. Whoever built it should have been hired by ILM on the spot.
When you say triple-hulled, I think more horizontally converged. This was done vertically, and looked so dorky it was laughable.

If we attempt to outdo ourselves we're just going to end up with something lamer.

Watch it. It is amazing.
OOH! I'm going to get some right now…
._.
I'll just stay in my nice little bubble of things that aren't stupid. Alright?
I really don't know the rules of the Star Wars universe.
I thought that was the way it always was, just that Jedi and Sith were formal kinds of training.

It's similar to mine, which was just Luke amassing an order of force-sensitive beings, while a loyalist group pursued him.
Did you do a whole post somewhere?
Of my outline?
No. It's incomplete and really more of a theory for how it could go. I only ever came up with one character for it.
She was Jana Skrah, the daughter of a Jedi who had 'made it' with her mother for the scourge. She grew up in a terrible backwater outer-rim world, and thus was hardened by the environment. Her mother died at age 13, so she also learned to use her powers to help her fend for herself. When Luke first finds her, she's in a bar, sloppy drunk and using her powers to negotiate the price of the drinks she's bought.

You can edit my posts?
If you received a really great Christmas gift, post about it here, and see if anyone will like it as well. Here's mine-
STAR TREK: THE NEWSPAPER COMICS VOL. 1 - The rarest of Star Trek comics reprinted and reproduced in their complete original form. More of an archive than an actual story, but still great nonetheless. Check it out if you have a heavy interest in vintage Star Trek (which I do).

So, yeah. I'm in support. It reminds me of the Avatar: The Last Airbender sequel comics. They don't have the same monumental threat as the series, but they're still compelling and enjoyable stories in their own right. Maybe that's the sort of change of pace we need. Focus more on the peaceful side of being a Jedi knight. No prophecy or any of that.
I'm definitely in support.
YES!! The best facepalm in history!
I tip my hat to you, Patrick Stewart.
And a Merry [insert seasonal holiday of religion] to you!
Close enough.

IT'S FACEPLAM!!!

For Christmas I gave you three letters of my name.
The new Mary Poppins Blu-Ray is 1:66:11. I'm curious if this is the OAR or not.
The color timing leaves a bit to be desired, but there's hardly a sign of DNR!
I say, try it!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!
Even though I only asked for one Star Wars related gift...

In regards to Duracell's question... easily. It'd be interesting, I think.
