I’ll show you something that’s a bit bulky, but based on your posts today you probably wouldn’t want to see it.

Or would but can’t admit it for one reason or another.

We’re here for you regardless.

That’s his cross to bear, not ours.

What the fuck. So just because I don’t want to look at some guy’s bulge makes me gay?

I don’t know if you’re gay. It’s a little weird that it bothers you so much either way.

When you’re single, it doesn’t help your chances much. Men have come up to me a lot in the past and it’s kind of not great.

So the women you know suddenly lose interest when a man shows interest?

You might need to meet some new women. Or make it clearer to the current women that you are into them and not the men that are into you.

I don’t know how any of this relates to your objection to bulges though.

They all have the ability to choose and they’re more privileged than me because they have a better job and get to create things for a living.

Not if they never get hired.

That’s very sad and all, but it’s not going to ever make me offended by nudity in film, which was my whole point from the beginning. I’d also file “blacklisting” under “maltreatment” so I’m on their side there. I still think, if you don’t want to appear nude, then don’t fucking apply for a part that calls for nudity.

Cool. I guess they work and claw and scratch just to get a tiny part in a big blockbuster, but then they’ll pass on it because I’m sure the next one is right around the corner.

If the big blockbuster calls for a nude scene, they should take it. This comes from someone who thinks we should all stop being so hung up on nudity, so keep that perspective in mind. I don’t see nudity as some scary thing.

Yes, we’ve established what your view is and your view misses the point. Several, actually.

You’re talking about you now. This has nothing to do with you personally.

Somehow this privilege business got brought, possibly even by me, I don’t know.

Yes, it got brought by you. 😛

I think my big disconnect is actually that I just can’t accept that I need to be offended that some of the most privileged people on Earth (actors) are getting paid to do things that I don’t see as that big of a deal. I’ve complained before about how offended I get when the .01% expects us plebs to join their causes while still dealing with all the other shit that we have to deal with that they’re completely ignorant of.

The fact that you think all actors are privelged proves how little you understand about the issue. Also whether or not a nude scene will be portrayed in an objectifying way is not really something the actors have much power over.

They’re more privileged than I am.

The really famous ones are. Most actors are no more privileged than any other ordinary person working a day job.

No, their job is better than anything day job people can get.

You’re crazy.

And the one’s who are in Blade Runner 2049 are definitely more privileged than me.

Well only you can judge how low that bar goes, but you’re grossly overestimating the lifestyle of random actress #12.

I think you’re grossly overestimating my lifestyle.

Yes, and most of them can also kiss their career goodbye if they don’t. Just like the women who rebuffed Weinstein could kiss their career goodbye if they pushed back too hard.

And it’s ridiculous to say that

A) Women should be expected to do whatever the script calls for and

If they accept the job knowing what the script calls for then yes that is reasonable.

B) Women should just refuse the job if they don’t want to do it

Not ridiculous at all. If there’s a part available that calls for nudity and they don’t want to be nude on camera, then they should just refuse the job.

You’re trying to make a complex issue into a very simple one, so I give up.
