The best thing David Bowie ever did (IMHO of course) was have Stevie Ray vaughan play on Let’s Dance which indirectly resulted in him finally getting a record deal of his own. SRV was such a huge talent and by all accounts an extremely kind and generous man, which is corroborated by his behavior during interviews. I even found an interview that was unassembled, as in it still had behind the scenes moments that were only captured coincidentally, and he was so kind to the imterviewer and the staff. By the end of it they were all laughing and joking together.
And that’s my review of Labyrinth.
I just gave it one extra point.
Labyrinth (1986)
Not good. And holy hell someone apparently got Jennifer Connelly some acting lessons later in life, because she’s also not good in this.
David Bowie is good. But there wasn’t enough of him.

Now the shoe’s on the other foot. How does it feel, Frink? HOW DOES IT @#$%ING FEEL?!‽?!‽?!‽?!‽?!‽?!‽?!
To quote a guy who used to post here…
Huh?
Let’s play nice now! Not everyone likes the same movies we grew up on.
I’m still sending these guys over to Frink’s house though. 😛
I’ve always thought that frink lived in Jay’s Basment.
I’ve thought of several responses to this but none seem worthy.

Is anyone not playing nice?
Goonies is great though
Neverending Story is fantastic. Much better than Labyrinth.
+1.5
Goonies is good. Neverending Story is so-so, but yes better than Layrinth.
Smart move. The only people that are worse than the people here are the people everywhere else on the internet.
I dig Neverending Story but I recognize it’s pretty much on the same level as Labyrinth.
How old were you when you first saw it?
- I appreciated the imaginative world, but found some of the characters annoying.
Sounds about right.
I think Neverending Story is probably a better comparison. Neverending Story is kinda bad too but I saw that one as a child.
I don’t read any OPs. I just scroll past them to see if there is a button I can press. I like to press buttons.
Report button pressed.
How old were you when you first saw it?
If I saw it in 1986 I probably would have loved it.
I bet I still would have hated that annoying shit Hoggle though.
Who cares either way lol
Take it to the Most Baffling Complaint and Associated Defense of a Star Wars Movie thread.
(I agree with you)

There are people that think the first one is better?
That’s weird.
Superman II is better.
Thanks Ric.
It also continues to baffle me that some people see discrimination as a valid religious belief.
I think that the most significant things the Court did was to reject the ideas that religion doesn’t have any place in commerce and that discriminatory religious views are categorically incompatible with civil society.
I was speaking more generally, I haven’t read the details of the decision. But discriminatory any views should be categorically incompatible with civil society.

I don’t think I would force someone (or even want someone), who told me they didn’t approve of my wedding, to bake my wedding cake. It would be easier to tell them to jump in a lake and then go find someone else to bake it. Give them a bad yelp rating or complain to the BBB or something. Taking them to court over it is too much hassle.
Easy to say if you aren’t in their shoes though.
It’s clearly not about the cake.
I’m sorry too. Truly I feel bad that you are in such a bad place. Wish I could help.
meds I don’t want.
Why?
Medication helped me a lot after we lost our daughter. As did group therapy.
I don’t want to spend money on medication and I don’t want to be medicated. As for group therapy, I don’t know why I would want to be in a group with anybody, but especially not group therapy. I credit them for the business model though. You can see a lot more customers rather than one at a time.
Wow, I must be a simpleton for falling for the business model where a bunch of strangers who have gone through similar tragedy can help each other cope under the guidance of a professional therapist. Nice.
I started writing some stuff about your stance on medication but I decided it would be as offensive to you as you just were to me so I deleted it.
Sorry you’re so miserable.
Personally, I kinda like it - and results in the member reading/scanning through a bit of the OP’s post before getting to the navigation bar (which on the whole is a good thing).
If someone isn’t going to read the OP anyway I seriously doubt they’re going to because of forced scrolling. Mostly they’ll just be saying “where the hell is the last page button?”
Sorry , I caught that on re reading it .must be the Ambien.
Rosanne sock confirmed.
From what I’ve seen, the biggest sin that the Holiday Special commits is not that it’s bad, but that it’s boring.
I agree that therapists are a waste of time.
This is a blanket statement I disagree with.
It’s possible they’re a waste of time for some people.
