Weren't those three the finalists? I seem to remember the casting director talking about all the kids they interviewed and tested before narrowing it down to those three. I'm sure they could have found someone better, but the dialogue has to be blamed just as much. What can you do with a line like "oops?" (as TheBoost said)

Let's not forget the beginning of AOTC, where Anakin prattles on to Obi-Wan about how nervous he is about seeing Padme again, about how being around her is "intoxicating," how he tells her how beautiful she is in front of everyone, etc. etc. Obi-Wan should have at least had some concern from the beginning.

There is a similar scene in the main movie where Mace is at a briefing holo-table with Yoda and a couple others in holo-form. Anakin has just left to inform Palpatine that Grievous is destroyed. The Jedi discuss how Palpatine needs to step down now, and they may have to remove him if he will not do it himself.
Well that was weird. I cleared my cache and everything went back to how it looked yesterday. The text "user is online" is now gone, replaced by the lightbulb. Never mind.

So the forum look has been updated again, and am I alone in thinking it's a step back?
The big issue for me is ease of navigation. You should be able to glance at things and very quickly tell what state they are in. For instance, users who were online used to have a lightbulb next to their name - very easy to tell right away who is online and who isn't. Now it either says "user is online" or "user is offline." Yes, it's easy to read, but at a quick glance, not so obvious, since the two phrases are so similar. I have the same feelings about the disappearance of the new post icon and sticky icon - a lot more reading is required now to see what is new and what isn't.
A link to *all* new posts since last visit, regardless of forum, would render a lot of this moot for me.

There is a deleted scene in EP 2 between Mace and Obi Wan where Obi Wan talks of Anakin's "connection" to Padme and how he is distracted by her. Yes, it wasn't in the movie proper, but the fact that Lucas filmed a scene like that indicates that he was at least thinking about it a little. Perhaps he cut it for that reason. At any rate, several faneditors have used that scene to replace the similar one between Mace, Obi, and Yoda, and using the deleted scene does make the Jedi seem a little more to blame.
A bigger issue for me is the EP 3 scene between Anakin and Yoda, where Anakin goes to Yoda for advice. Anakin basically comes out and tells Yoda he's in love with *someone*, and Yoda's advice is to forget about her. At that point, shouldn't they be keeping a closer eye on him?

I thought on the EP 1 DVD documentary, one of the other two kids gave better line readings. But of course it's a matter of opinion, and I don't actually think Jake was that horrible, given the lines he was working with.

I can confirm that. I discovered that awful fact when I first started working on EP 2 cutlists. The "anno" at the end makes him sound kind of alien-y, I guess. I read a review of AOTC somewhere that accused Lucas of letting his kids name the aliens, based on Dexter Jetser or whatever the hell his name was.
