I don't agree with this one.  They are interchangeable and always have been.  Further is more common in abstract senses, but that is about it; unless you meant  that farther cannot be used a verb, which is true, but I have never heard it used as such.

I regret to inform everyone that I have no choice but to end this thread and leave OT.com. 

Two days ago my boss came into my office to introduce me to our most important client, and they both walked in on me looking at a famous 500 year old painting of some dude's asshole.  When the client said he was offended, I simply told him that he was narrow minded and he shouldn't be so hostile.  I don't understand why, but we lost the contract and I was fired. 

Last night, my wife caught me looking at a picture of a painted woman.  When she started to go apeshit about me looking at a naked woman on the internet, I calmly explained that she was being narrow minded because the woman wasn't really naked, she was wearing paint.  I also told her she was being hostile, but since she had already kicked me out of the house, I don't think she heard me.

The last thing I heard before I left was my daughter saying "daddy bye-bye," then giggling.

At any rate, since I have no job or place to stay, and it's only a matter of time before Starbucks kicks me out for looking at boobs and assholes, I have to leave the forum.  Fortunately, since this site is uninteresting, and I've already gotten everything I need from here, I'm happy. Therefore, I leave you now and go back to where I truly belong...selling t-shirts and mugs on street corners.
