So...any updates on this project?
Me neither.
Anyone know how long a tvbracket takes to ship to the US? I'm starting to think I got duped.

Regarding the Lost episode (or Star Wars, or my wife, or the 100 other things I like but can't quite explain why)...
I hope for your sake your wife isn't on the forum...

Ultimately, this is my review of RedLetterMedia's Phantom Menace review. He goes into insane detail to rationally pick apart the logic, story, sense, etc. of the movie. 90% of what he goes into, I never considered. Once he brings it up, I readily agree with his point and throw it on the pile of my grievances against the movie... but it's really all unneccesary. I simply hate the movie.
I agree with you from the opposite end of the spectrum - I love TPM* despite knowing the flaws, and probably couldn't explain why I love TPM**. And I didn't really care about RLM's actual review, I just liked the silly. Not sure what I'm trying to say here, except I think you shouldn't have to defend what you like or don't like. Unless you're trying to prove that you are right, lol.
*To clarify, I love a few TPM fanedits, which get rid of much awfulness. I can't sit through the original TPM.
**Again, to clairfy, the original TPM sux. k thx.
Have you looked around for dual-layer burners lately? They're pretty cheap, I think.

You know, it makes me so sad to see this. To think that the 2001 doubleofive logo is gone forever, replaced by a supposed "original vision" in 2009 that barely resembles the 2001 version.

Aw... I get the feeling I missed some nugget of gold with that edit.
Yeah, it was pretty awesome. I totally ripped CP3S a new one. Then I realized that what I was saying was factually incorrect, so it had to go.
Hey, another Indy Racing League fan!
You know, I just realized we've got this great IE thread and we haven't discussed the e-hole yet!
The thread title got cut off for some reason. It actually should read "Most Epic Pictures Are Not In This Thread, And Come To Think Of It, The Other Epic Pictures Aren't Either."
Let's take Lidge as an example for the DL (assuming he'll start the season there, haven't heard yet for sure). Once the Phillies announce he's been moved to the DL, Yahoo will put a red "DL" tag next to his name. Once that happens, you can move him from your active roster (RP or BN position) to a DL position. When you do that, you will have one empty spot on your roster which you can fill with a free agent. The free agent can be another RP, but can also be a SP or even a batter at any position. It's up to you who you want to replace him with.
You have 3 DL spots. If you have 4 players on your team that are tagged DL, you can have 3 of them on the DL spots so you can replace them with free agents. The 4th player will have to occupy one of your bench spots, or you can drop him into the free agent pool and replace him with another free agent (not a good idea if he's a good player, because someone else will pick him up once he clears waivers).
Now, let's say Lidge has been on the DL for 2 weeks and he's finally been activated by the Phillies. Yahoo will remove the red "DL" tag from his name, but you actually can leave him in the DL slot as long as you like. The trick is you can't make any other transactions (trades or free agents) as long as a non-DL player is parked in your DL spot. However, you can still move players between active positions and your bench, so it can be a useful place to keep a hurt player until you're sure he's healthy.
In order to move a player from your DL to your roster, you will have to drop a player to make room (or swap him with another player who has the DL tag but is on your bench).
When this comes up, feel free to ask me questions before you make moves. Incidentally, if you make a mistake (like dropping someone you didn't mean to) I can fix it, although you need to tell me right away so it doesn't affect the league.
LA LA LA LA, I'M NOT LISTENING!!!
Also, somehow I missed a Dune thread!
OMG - Jessica Alba Sex Tape!
Zig's confession added to the list. Gaff gets points for this post:

Um, you're entitled to your opinions, but that is a damned weird way to pick a favorite movie. Why can't you pick it some normal way, like I do? See, for me, I go to my closet, and I pick whatever happens to be the third t-shirt from the right. Then I find DVD cover art that looks similar to the t-shirt. After that, I divide by pi, and I have my favorite movie of all time! I do this at least two or three times a week, mind you.
Also, I enjoyed Moth3r's "on-topic" post.
Time for me to eat a little more crow...

'The Fellowship of the Ring' is a peculiar piece, as it is sporadic, random, intermittently brilliant and tragic...and yes, we're still talking about the video, here. Detail is far from consistent, as from shot to shot in any scene, it's almost like watching the film from multiple grade sources culled together. There are moments were distance shots boast brilliant clarity and the finest of minute detail, then a close up will follow that's muddled beyond belief. While I cannot say what created this issue, I can say that DNR (yes, Digital Noise Reduction) played a large part. There are numerous excessively smoothed and muddy moments, and they're hardly difficult to spot.
Review says that the sequels are better but still have problems. From the review of ROTK:
DNR? Yes, it's still there, no matter how improved the picture looks, there is still the occasional smear and loss in detail. Motion can at times make it obvious, though close ups are often the most affected and notable victims. It became a game, really, watching hair and seeing if it gets smudged and blurred. And then, something occurred to me. Fans of the film can gather 'round this collection and have one hell of a drinking game: whenever someone notices DNR, take a shot. Alcohol poisoning is sure to ensue.

if you don't know who the doctor is then Time travel isn't for you!
No, I know the Doctor, at least by reputation. I just didn't recognize the picture.
I like his new companion :-)

Don't trust google translate ;)
Hehe !! Now you'll understand all the pain we have to read your discussions, boys !
Well, I'll understand when I learn some French and go visit a French forum.
In the meantime, since this is an English forum, please follow ady's wishes for his thread. The rest of us non-French speakers would appreciate it as well.

Moth3r, may I suggest you delete the thread...? There's nothing more to see, or to say.
Just a suggestion though.
Threads don't get deleted here (usually), they remain so that some future threadarcheologist can dig them up years later and learn from the mistakes of the past.

What, your post wasn't random enough?
Flaws? What flaws? A little more information, please, if you're going to recklessly slander a pillar of the entertainment community. ;-)
@Bingo, sorry, I just liked the poetry of the thousand pictures worth one word. I'll add all-around idea man to the description if vfp will allow it.

Role on the 3rd of april
I really like that tie!
Help me out with this one please?
I was pretty impressed as it was going on Warb, but let me check your final roster...
...yeah, I agree with Rip. It's a pretty good team for your first time. I actually think your starting pitching is pretty strong (when you get two top guys like CC and Lee, and then can have solid guys like Hanson and Baker at #3 and #4, that's pretty good).
RP is your real weak spot. You have a couple guys who will probably start the year on the DL and a couple of guys who may not get many saves.
Speaking of which, do you understand how the DL spots work?
Rip, you said you're in a 5 team league? There must be a ton of great free agents...
