What is the worst line in the Prequel Trilogy?

Not to mention that Natalie Portman looks hideous in it.

You have got to be fucking kidding me? That's like saying Carrie Fisher wasn't really hot in ESB. Such lunacy!!!

I think Ric is referring specifically to the balcony scene in ROTS. It was clearly shot in the usual round of disastrous PT pickups, as Natalie looks much thinner in it, than in the rest of the film. Also her hair is all over the place unlike in the scene just after the nightmare, where she is in the same costume but looking curvaceous and with a decent hairdo.

On that subject, another terrible line is from that post nightmare scene, where Padme says "I doubt the Queen will continue to allow me to serve in the Senate". What?!?! You'll be sacked because you are pregnant, what kind of sexist f**ked up dark-ages operation do they run on Naboo anyway!? This line really made me question George's attitudes.

AOTC Threepio "I'm quite beside myself" and "This is such a drag" *sigh*

AOTC Yoda "Around the survivors, a perimeter, create". I know Yoda speaks in broken English but hell bloody! I changed it to "Around the survivors, create a perimeter" and it sounded much better.

Basically, any line that has the title "Attack of the Clones" written somewhere above it in the script.

Spot the errors: ROTJ!
Time

The fire brand not fully connecting with the droid's feet and the steam jet being off in Jabba's Palace.

Background of Droid's feet being lifted onto the skiff isn't at all convincing. It looks like what it is, a painted board a few feet away.

While not a true error, more a limitation... it would be nice if Max Reebo's fingers could actually move properly in time onto the piano keys along with the tune he's playing.

Another 'limitation'... make the Gamorian Guard's fingers move properly.

Sort that tentacle out that grabs Threepio. Daniels does his best with it mime wise.

Ewok eye beads being missing in the back of a couple shots.

Cab of the AT-ST that gets crushed between two logs feels empty. A more suitable explosion is needed.

Animated smoke from burning Cab of the AT-ST that Chewie blows up isn't that great.

Lando's voice echoing when he says the "That was too close" line.

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

So I've been watching Masterchef over the past few weeks. One of the finalists was called Luke so a few SW jokes enevitably got thrown in, "Use the fork Luke" that kind of thing.

The final episode had a segment about his life and an interview with his sister (Sadly she wasn't called Leia). All the time I was watching it, I was imagining the Masterchef footage being swapped for Star Wars scenes and it would work perfectly. Hopefully an enterprising YouTuber does it :-)

Besides "The films need to be the way I want them," has Lucas stated anything as to why the Blu-rays became the travesty that they are?

More important than references, the original trilogy continues to strongly influence the majority of science fiction/fantasy and blockbuster films made today.

I very much doubt that. What's popular at the moment? Action hero films and Peter Jackson's Tolkien adaptations. Both of which we'd have if Star Wars didn't exist.

For a start... movie trilogies wouldn't be thing, for there to be a LOTR trilogy.

The Changes That Nobody Talks About
Time

While not exactly a change "That Nobody Talks About" (More something that isn't talked about / cared about enough)...

...is the opening Logos. To me, it just isn't Star Wars if it doesn't start with the beautiful original hand painted Fox logo and the clean crisp green of the original Lucasfilm logo (That stylistically matches the simple blue of the "far, Far, away" titles). Presenting Star Wars with the ersatz CGI logo(s) and overly showy new Lucasfilm logo is a total disconnect in film styles. They are films from the late70s/early80s so they need to have titles that match frm that era.

It's really important to me and not having them will slightly spoil ESB:R inevitably... I'm sure my disappointment will be swiftly overcome though ;-)

^ Mmmm, a thing of beauty.

^ An abomination unto my eyes! and I don't want the name of Murdoch's other Evil Empire polluting the image.

The fact that this...

"Going forward and looking at the much bigger picture, there are more dubious rumors to consider, like Disney potentially phasing out the prequel trilogy by lumping them in with the “Legends” non-canon fodder. This has apparently been the subject of gossip near Disney, though it’s very possibly just that – gossip amongst the worker bees. Anyway, it would allow for a reboot of sorts, with new prequel movies featuring Yoda, Darth Vader, etc."

...is even a rumour, made me chuckle and have a better day.

^ Re anti-piracy promoting piracy ^

My mum wanted to buy me Morrissey's autobiography for Xmas on Kindle from Amazon but despite 1/2 an hour of total bafflement, she discovered that you can't 'gift' a Kindle book. Which is just crazy.

So plan-B, she purchased an Amazon voucher to the value of the E-Book and gave me that. On Xmas day I then spent another 1/2 hour or more trying and trying to purchase the E-book onto my Kindle and eventually gave up. "Please Amazon I'm begging you, all I want is to do is give you my Money!".

Plan C, I spent the voucher on a DVD and downloaded the E-Book illegally. It downloaded in seconds and I could read it immediately. No fuss, what service these criminals give to their customers! However I then found that my Kindle wouldn't accept the book no matter how many times I uploaded it seemingly because It had not gone through Amazon's software?

Skip to 5 months later and my Brother bought me the actual book for my Birthday. Praise physical objects, you never let me down!
