By "Used to", I take it you mean yesterday. I only feintly remember it myself, as it was that long ago, I think I had porridge for breakfast.
It's the center of the Skywalker universe*. Last time I checked Luke was from the family Skywalker and he is in the new film.
Padme and Co just happening to land on Tatooine in the PT is universe shrinkage... Luke returning to Tatooine in the ST is just continuing the story.
(*and the center of Han's universe too. So it's 200% the center of Leia's universe LOL)
Now, if a totally unrelated set of new characters in the ST also happen to be from Tatooine, then you've got a point.

Most of yous feckers. Arguing and sniping and contradicting one another! I come here to read fun things about entertainment but every other feckin post is a "correction", a "witty" retort or some Sheldon wannabe instructing those beneath Him in all the ways their knowledge or appreciation of something is wrong. Feck off, yous are on my ignore list until somebody says something nice. and would it kill any of you to actually agree with another person once in a while?! Reading YouTube comments is actually looking like a preferable option, and that's a feckin fate worse than death!
This is my witty retort.
knowing it's about creative wordplay
^ ditto when Kenobi tells Padme later on (and again a few seconds later when he works out she's pregnant).

Empire voted top film of all time by a new poll.
Very interesting to see the films that are not at the tops of these lists. Really reflects the changing of the generational guard. Nice to see many of "our" classics up there.
That's nice but after a quick browse, that looks like one of the stupidest film polls I've ever read.... gimme Sight & Sound or nuthin'.

Carrie appeared this afternoon on the Paul O'Grady show here in the U.K
I caught it by chance but someone has put it on youtube. Nothing on the new film of course but a chance to see Carrie now filming has started.

Well, this guy isn't nearly as creepy as that other asshole from Bring Back Star Wars, but he still manages to come across as a bit sleazy. Seriously, what's with the TV people over there acting this way in the presence of Carrie Fisher?
How is Paul O'Grady a bit "creepy" and "sleazy"? He seems like a lovely bloke and what exactly does "acting this way" mean anyway?

zactly.
Just the other day (While going through old photos) I could compare my mum's wedding dress from her first marriage, in the late 60s, to her second marriage, in the mid 70s. The 60s dress would be the height of fashion now but the 70s dress from less than a decade later, was a travesty against clothes.
There is a reason stuff from the 70s and 80s gets called "dated"... because it has. A sharp 1920s/1960s suit, is still a sharp suit you could wear today but some of the suits my dad was wearing in the 1970s (With flairs and 5 inch lapels) are only fit for burning LOL. This is why 'Blade Runner' has never dated a day because Scott went back to those classic early 20th century fashions.
(^ Sorry, it was an open goal)

"Biological Imperative" would be great name for a 'real' Ale.
