Anybody care to digest the two and come up with an ultimate, fully-extended, film-order tracklist?
I’d LOVE to watch a documentary about the work of George Lucas that had as part of it’s mission-statement “To never mention or refer to Star Wars at any point”. There are so many wierd, wonderful and nearly forgotten projects he’s been involved with (in various Exec Producer roles) over the years. It would be very interesting to hear about those instead of the usual SW stuff.
it’s just a fan service ripoff of ANH.
I am shocked there is not more fan outrage over this.
It’s really difficult to feel “outraged” when you’ve been force-fed excrement for 18 years and somebody suddenly takes it away and gives you a juicy cheeseburger. Sure it’s maybe not quite the prime steak you remember eating back before the enforced sh*t eating began, but you sure feel grateful nonetheless.
The Lightsaber was unharmed because the fall was cushioned by Bespin’s verloosium-anti-gravitonational-inflex-warp-field-negative-oscillation-overthruster*
(*aka: This is just a sci-fi movie)
Finally SC have put out a “souvenir” video of the event…

BE WARNED! This ^ spoils pretty much everything and they are planning on bringing it the US at some point.
Dammit! I never bumped into Lando while I was there!
F**k it.
Re-watched the Trilogy ahead of TFA. Jedi is still the best IMO. Plus I gave the final act a watch with the isolated score. The visuals and music alone tell the story. A masterpiece of design, editing and direction combined with William’s best score.
Star Wars and Empire have fans; Jedi only has defenders. And when a film has defenders and not fans, that is never a good sign.
I refer you to the title of the thread in which you are making that sweeping statement 😉
Well if a franchise peaks after only three years and one sequel, then it isn’t really a good franchise now is it? It’s in the same gutter as Sonic the Hedgehog or The Matrix.
See other equally worthless movie series like: The Godfather and Star Trek

The most awesome bed ever!

Yeah but I think the Bean Bag made out of Chewie’s skin would just give kids nightmares.
So embedding…
Collider will be preparing thusly…

…^ starting with TPM.
Is the original trailer for THX 1138 preserved in HD and uncropped? The version on the BR is neither but this youtube clip is uncropped but heavily compressed…
Guinness pronounces “wan” all wrong anyway in the movie.
Or everyother actor afterwards pronounced it wrong and he pronounced it right 😉
^ The word “Magnitude” in that sentence should always be spoken in Admiral Ackbar’s voice.
The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988) – A+
Correct answer!
There is an alternate timeline where the studio doesn’t inexplicably bury the movie, it becomes a firm favourite for all the family delighting generations of children, it’s a giant box office success and Gilliam gets to direct Harry Potter.
Post removed (sadface).
Who directed that movie? And is (sadface) like your new rating system?
Just a result of the new forum software’s tendency to randomly open on the first page, the last page, the newest post, or the last-but-one page. I replied to a post from 5 years ago by mistake (Sadface).
It would be a great title for a movie about somebody with ‘Seasonal affective disorder’.
Leigh Brackett = I’m 99% sure it’s “Lee”. Leigh is quite a common name and it’s always prounced this way in my experience.
Richard Marquand = It’s pronounced as it’s written with the Q. “Mark-Wand”.
“Kaz-AN-jee-an”? = Correct. Although the “Jee-an” would probably roll off the tongue as just “Jan”.
Ian McDiarmid = It’s “Muck-Dear-Mid” from all the times I’ve heard it said. “Mc” is sometimes pronounced “Mac” (Like with my name) but in this case it’s “Muc”.
Deleted.

I think there’s an old thread for this, at least I remember posting already posting my thoughts on what spin-off I would like: a The Searchers style western starring McGregor’s Kenobi and Edgerton’s Owen lightsabering and punching Tusken Raiders to death, respectively.
This…?
Heard from someone who’s seen it, he says it opens with a gunbarrel, so people can finally stop complaining about that.
Almost. It doesn’t do the moving-around white circle bit for no reason. It just fades to black.
Put "Hee Ya" into Google image search. Then put "Yee Ha" into Google image search. One will come up with pictures of cowboys and the other won't.

Nope.
Exactly. I think you are confusing Lando with this guy...
