^ 'Battle of Britain' is gonna be used for Yavin for sure. Already used some shots of Heinkel's from that film to represent Ties patrolling the Death Star.
X-Wings are gonna be Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lightnings.
The Falcon is a B-17 - Same sort of nose/cockpit and the top/belly guns are gonna come in handy.

Thanks, glad you like it. I haven't done any work on this edit since finishing the 70mins you've watched no. I'm dreading trawling through days of WW2 and pre77 Sci-Fi films to find the material I need for Yavin. Suggestions are always welcome.
Thanks for the article link, interesting stuff. Shame the linked material is of an unusable quality. I can see the shot of people fleeing before the Stormtroopers working nicely.
I started this edit with title cards everywhere as you suggest but when it started to get good I realised that if I picked the right footage I didn't need them. The image told the story just fine. I think I tried that sandcrawler shot at one point but elected to go with a McQuarrie painting instead.

^ Flip in first shot wouldn't be too noticable even with no FX tweaking.
^ The second shot would only be noticeable with a magnifying glass lol. But it could work without flipping anyway.
But it's still wrong that R2 is suddenly inside in the second shot. The first shot is just believable as showing him firing the smoke through the door opening, since the camera is so close. Maybe Ady could add a shot of R2 flying back into the Bespin corridor with his rocket boosters to better bring ESB in line with the PT ;-)
^ Nice mockup thanks for the effort but it doesn't NEED doing but the "Blast them" line was nice. I wouldn't be against one or two bits of Stormtrooper dialogue in the more intense chase moments but then again I wouldn't care if there wasn't any either.
I'd never noticed it before now... but we see R2 exit on to the platform after opening the door, then is several meters inside the doorway when he deploys the smoke. Huge continuity error that I can't un-see lol
Is/has Ady fixed this? Can't think how it would be easily fixed though.

Very funny discussion video with Mark kermode so I suggest watching it all, but there is a funny Lucas reference at 4.39 that's worth catching.

^ Yes. Hayden's performance is very underated in AOTC and ROTS. I found with my edits that when I chopped out the bad lines you're left with something rather good. When Hayden isn't saying George's terrible dialogue he's fantastic... remove the worst of the dialogue and bingo!
In my edit I've left most of the evil Palpatine stuff in this scene because I wanted the audience (Those that haven't already worked it out during AOTC) to realise that Palpatine is evil. This makes Anakin more sympathetic, as I've cut it so we watch Palpatine dragging Anakin inch by inch to the dark side.
Just realised watching it again that you've cut...

... and the rest of that dialogue. I always thought that the duels in the PT didn't have enough "We meet again at last" style dialogue. I'd go so far as to say that dialogue was the most OT exchange in the whole PT. I'd be interested to know your thoughts behind why you wanted to cut these lines?

Wow so many changes. Hard to keep track of them all. A brief cut list perhaps?
Very clever combining of both Dooku force attacks on Kenobi and you nailed the implication that an external blast causes the platform to collapse. Colour work is great as usual but is the shot of Palpatine saying "We'll never make it" still supposed to be blue? The radical cutting of Dooku's death is a shock at first but after a few watches, it works beautifully.
