Star Wars: Episode VII to be directed by J.J. Abrams **NON SPOILER THREAD**

Take this with a mountain of salt.

In a marginally related story, Star Wars: Episode VII may need a new director.  Badass Digest is hearing rumors from multiple sources that Abrams is close to dropping out of the highly anticipated sequel.

True or not. The fact that there are even rumours of discord are a concern.

Don't make life difficult for JJ Disney. Have faith that you picked the right dude for the gig and let him get on with it. Sign the outgoing cheques and then cash the larger incoming ones when it gets released... simple.

Aalenfae's PREQUEL TRILOGY (Heavily delayed - computer exploded)
Time

Just watched the Palpatine office comparison video.

Billion times better! The eyes don't look nearly as digitaly messed around with. Also nice removal of the chicken neck.

Skin has got the right level of saturation now but if I can be picky I'd still like the skin a little more yellow. ROTJ Palpatine always looked mumified to me or like old yellowy-grey bones. Also it would be nice if ALL the pink was gone from the robe, more blueish.

Also nice if all the pink was gone from the whole office. Steel, black/dark blue and dark red like the death star throne room.

Anybody noticed that the ROTS makeup makes his mouth move like Wallace and Gromit? Mute it and say "Wensleydale" at 0.04.

btw I thought you'd removed the Dooku flip already?

Just an amendment, but MrInsaneA, I love your solution to getting Grievous out of there without the whole window exploding thing!

But I felt it was cut kind of awkwardly.
Maybe this might work in a more fluid way?

Wow, my eyes just melted from the awesome genius of that edit. You gotta use that one!

I know animated films have used stars in the past, but it tended to be because the voice was right. You're always gonna have exceptions to the rule.

e.g. Disney's superb 1973 'Robin Hood'. Peter Ustinov is amazing as Prince John but that was an exception. They picked Peter for the voice not so they could stick his name on a poster.

yet Disney's 1991 'Beauty and the Beast' had almost no stars and it blew up at the box office.

I'll just leave this here.

Wonderful! Music fits like a glove.

btw Would love to hear an editor remove the bizarre race-car overdub at 1.09. I think Ben Burtt was drunk on his own power and thought he could get away with anything on the prequels. He must have caught something from GL.

^ Great stuff. Anybody know if any other recordings exist because the audience laughter drowns most of it out in that clip.

One of the tradegedies of modern film in the last few decades is the erradication of the art of voice acting. Studios just get whatever Hollywood stars are popular now to voice everything. Who sadly more often than not just phone it in and pickup a huge check.

For the last few weeks I've been flying through the Wire, so all the characters and plots and such are constantly swirling around my mind. Tonight (right now actually), however, I'm watching Hal's EpI workprint, and a guard says "the boy's here to see Padme," and I do a double take. That's Jimmy McNulty's voice! I looked it up, sure enough, Dominic West was an extra in TPM! That's so wizard!

He is in a TPM Blu-Ray deleted scene too. Series 4 of the The Wire is the best TV has or sadly probably ever will get. Nice to see the cast have gone all SF&F, starring in... Star Wars, Thor, Prometheus, John Carter, Pacific Rim, Dredd and the new Robocop.

Also Andre Royo, Method Man and Tristan Wilds all worked for Lucas on 'Red Tails'. Plus just seen that Idris is gonna play Nelson Mandela later in the year. Oscars beckon for Mr Elba I fancy.

Thanks for the feedback, glad you enjoyed it.

Re Text: I'll have to check that. I'm working towards removing the text anyway.

Yer everyone says about the double logo. Haven't got a clue how I'm gonna remove it.

I'll be adjusting the music levels in future too.

Sure the biggs scene is in the right place. I went by the script.

The "Too sharp" shots were because I used Harmy's Despecialised Ed for the Tuskan scene because with those scenes the official Blu-Ray is beyond f*cked (Maybe only 50% of SW remains). Shows what a good Job Harmy did that you noticed even through several layers of scuzz.

I must pluck up the courage to tackle this beast again lol

Gutted, just seen the news about Mel Smith on t'web. As a kid I used to watch my VHS of 'Not The Nine O'Clock News' almost as much as Star Wars. Going to go get my DVD out now and watch gems like this...

Love that in 4 days it's had 600 likes and 9000 dislikes LMAO

A new level of terrible... until I heard that Miley Cyrus track. Kanye West deserves to die for making talking into autotune an universally exceptable substitute for singing.
