I even like the Jar Jar episodes.

Maybe going a little far there....

Come on, Jar Jar was responsible for some funny lines:

Padme: Go back to the ship and call for help.
C-3PO: I regret the transmitters on the ship are out of order.
Padme: What?!
C-3PO: The ship has been destroyed.
Padme: Battledroids?
C-3PO: No.
Padme: Jar Jar?
C-3PO: Jar Jar.

So... V?
Time

So, I watchted the Show from the first episode to "Devil in a blue dress". It's not bad, but it is not really good either. It tries to be something, what it is definitely not: a second "Battlestar Galactica". For example, Marco Beltrami copies the music of Bear McCreary in a way, that can only be described as shameless. Morena Baccarin looks, as always with short hair, as if her neck is eight inches too long. That look gives me the creeps.

The characters are shallow and stereotypical, or, as Tyler, dumb and pesky. And bringing back Jane Badler as Diana doesn't make the show any better. Her overblown acting look like she tries to play shakespeare on a train station's toilet. Another look hat gives me the creeps are the effects. They're giong from good (Makeup) to really crappy (as in Episodes II and III, the mothership's interior are no real sets, but computer generated sets with actors in front of blue/greenscreens).

I watched it, and I'll continue to watch, because, as I said, it's not that bad. It's just not as innovative as it pretends to be...

I love the series as much as I hate the PT. I agree with a lot here, the series is, what the PT should have been. Dave Filoni, the man who wrote a couple of episodes of "Avatar - The Last Airbender", does, what GL wasn't able to do. The characters are deepend, more believable. Anakin is likeable and I really like Ahsoka. I even like the JarJar episodes.

Idea: Star Wars - Fan Trailers
Time

I was recently trying to put together a trailer for ROTS that was to act as if ROTS was the third movie coming out. The trailer would not focus on anakin/vader story. That transformation would be the big shock of the actual film. This trailer would almost be there to trick people into thinking something else was going to happen.

You mean like the opposite of the Terminator 2 Trailers? If you watched T2 only knowing part 1 and without knowing anything about part 2 you would still think Arnie is the bad guy until he actually meets Connor. But the Trailers ruined that (except for the wonderful Teaser (I really love those Teasers that consist of material, that was made only for the Trailer. The Teaser of the last Star Trek comes to mind)).

What is your favorite versions of the following movies: Apocalypse Now, Alien, Aliens, Blade Runner and Terminator 2?
Time

Apocalypse Now:
Didn't see it, not planning to.

Alien:
I like both Versions, but I did not watch them so often that I can tell which one I like more. Isn't the DC even shorter than the theatrical?

Aliens:
I think I only know the SE.

Blade Runner:
Bored to death with either version.

Terminator 2:
I really like the SE, though it was released almost 15 years too late in Germany. I don't know the extended-whatever-cut. Did they only add the alternate ending? Or the scene where the T-1000 searches John's room, too?
