Not that I give a frak about the PT, but seriously, WTF?

Let's hope the BluRays will be a better base for fan editing/color correction.
Ady, do you still have the project files with which you color corrected ESB? Maybe it would be possible to load the BluRay version into that project and you just need to tweak it a little bit here and there and don't have to start all over again (if you had the intention to do so).

I'd make Carrie do another take of "I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board" without the bad English accent.

She was just making fun of Tarkins accent.

Han's line about the Kessel run should have been fixed because the use of "parsecs" makes no sense (it's a unit of distance).

Yep, that's right. On the other hand, the EU found a great explanation: Kessel is a hive of black holes. You have to fly gigantic curves to escape the gravitational fields of the black holes. But Han's ship is fast enough to fly smaller curves, therefore his way is shorter than other's.

I get that, but it still seems seems odd that Luke would get upset over a simple matter of not being able to buy machine parts right away. If the power converters had been written as a local band Luke wanted to see perform with his friends or something along those lines, it would have been better IMO. As the line is, though, it just comes off as unintentionally funny.

Tosche Station is a stripclub and the Power Converters is a group of Lesbian performers, as Robotchicken has shown. Too bad, I couldn't find a clip...

Jarring modern parlance in a fantasy realm is always a problem.

Padme calling children, "kids" doesn't work where as Han calling Luke, "Kid" does.

Cliegg Lars referring to his wife as his "partner" doesn't work either.

This is meant to be a long time ago in a galaxy, far, far away not the a cheap daytime soap or a bit of office gossip.

The German version is even worse. As Cliegg tells them, that he can't ride anymore, because of his leg, or better, it's absence, he says (in German) he "couldn't ride a horse".
I couldn't help it but shouting through the theatre "What's a horse???"

At the risk of being shot dead, there are a lot of PT-era books when, taken in context with the films, really go a long way towards explaining a lot of the things that were poorly handled in the PT.

I didn't read those books, but it's the same with "The Clone Wars". "The Clone Wars" is what the Prequels should have been.
