Terminator 4

just to clarify which war is which. The war that started at the end of t3 ways the war called judgement day. The war that is referred to in t1 and t2 is the war against the machines. Sarah Conner's V/O at the beginning of t2 explains all that. Judgement day was the nuclear war that killed 3 billion lives in one day. The war against the machines started sometime after that. But you're right t4 would be a bad idea. t3 was bad enough to kill the franchise

i haven't e-mailed the lady yet but I think I can wait until the next time I see her to ask her if I can contact her. She may end up giving me her phone number. who knows what'll happen. When the friend of mine gave me the e-mail address i told him that I should get this from her not him and I lost that oppurtunity once she left. My other buddy who I've known longer told me that you should forget about thisd girl if no other oppurtunities to talk to her come up. And he's right, I have gotten hung up on women in the past. In fact, there was this one that I didn't talk to for five years and still had a thing for. I have since gotten over her, but for this current girl, I've made a descion, if she does in fact move to Detroit or just plain shows up again, then I'll have oppurtunity to talk to her, but if she doesn't show up ever again, then tough just forget about her and move on.

I guess today can constitute as a bad day. I had to explain the same thing to three people ten times! I had to explain that we can't just take quicktime clips from the hard drive and put them on a DVD without compressing them to Mpeg 2. I told them that we need FCP to put the clips in order, make a quicktime movie of them, and compress them to Mpeg2 from there. Then I told them we need DVD studio Pro to handle the encoding to DVD because iDVD cant handle Mpeg2 encoding. They kept saying things like "I don't understand.." And i wonder how can I explain it any simpler to them?
This is what I have to look forward to, 4 or 5 days of nothing but encoding 60 hours worth of material to DVD. And that's just the NTSC DVD masters. Then I gotta convert the timeline to PAL and encode that to DVD.

MAC or PC

well, at least your reasons for not liking it are legitamate and have to do with past experience. I guess it just amounts to personal taste. I like macs because they are great tools for video/sound editing. It's what I do so I like macs alot. i also like the design and boldness of the color on macs. That mainly has to do with my art background. As far as experiences go, i've never had to adjust the firewire or do any sort of upgrade to my mac or any mac in order to do video editing. But every time I used a PC for video editing, I had to screw around with the firewire card and upgrade certain components. I remember the first time myst came out and a guy I knew had it on his mac. the thing took forever to boot up and was very tempermental. the game never played, but flash forward all these years and here I am working on a mac that is supposedly the lowest you can get at this point in time, and it hasn't crashed on me at all. I've thrown everything at this laptop and it's taken everything with gusto. Now that doesn't mean that it did everything right, like for instance it didn't burn to DVD very well, but that has to do with my 933MHz processor and 340 Megs of RAM. What works for me works for me and what works for you works for you.
