I know it sounds crazy, but we all have seen AMDS digital tricks on youtube where the guy can create Robocop vs Terminator fights or Neo vs Robocop fights and put both character into the same frame.

I would suggest to the memory of all wounded Dredd fans, that AMDS, or anyone able to, would digitall put that helmet back on Stallone on all The Dredd movie (Stallone over at AICN agrees he should have kept that helmet on).

Anyone want to redo the movie that way ???

Hi guys

With 007 fever going into a high pitch right now, I decided I will try my hand at recutting Goldeneye, a film I think had some good moments, and some totally flawed ones, into a closer style to Casino Royale, as both movies shares the same director.

The idea is to make GE much more like CR is, by removing Q, Moneypenny, the too early introduction of Natalya character (so that she appears around the same time Vesper appears in the story in CR), and all instances of comic relief, that I feel belongs to the Roger Moore area.

I’m almost finished on act 1 of the movie, the first half hour. It may appear on myspleen as a teaser, or maybe I will just post the movie in two parts. Here are some of the reedits and changes :

• Like in CR, the pre-credit teaser is now completely in black and white, giving it a moody, old school feel.

• The part where Oroumov shoot one of his soldiers have been removed, to fasten the action, and to help make Oroumov character more human, and his actions later in the movie when he shoot Tcheky Kario in prison less predictable and more shocking.

• The two, heavily processed shots Bond falling in mid hair going after the plane have been removed, giving the whole scene a very much more Spy who loved me opening teaser feel, with the action mostly seen from afar. It works much better now, and doesn’t take anything away from that scene, on the contrary.

• The color come back in one clever way during the opening credits.

• During the initial Aston Martin chase, most of the comic instances of the english girl passenger sent to evaluate Bond have been removed, as well as her mentioning she is sent by M. When the chase concludes, it gives her “evaluation” speech a whole complete different meaning, much more hornier and in the spirit of classic bond.

• Some minor shots and scenes taken out of the rest of act 1 : No more Bond repeating “Onatopp ?” (we cut directly to his reaction, works much better than telephone the gag), no more mimes (I hate mimes, and what is a mime doing in a bond movie anyway), no more Moneypenny report (all she report is things we know already, or that M will repeat later during the briefing), No more Xenia killing the general (it helps makes the first attack of Bond by Xenia later in the movie more exciting and surprising, also when Bond discovers the body, it will be much more of a surprise). When Bond find the general in the closet, one close up shot of the distorded face of the general have been removed because it’s fugly and unecessary. Act one ends when Bond see the copter taking off, and there’s a fade out on him.

I’m currently polishing some transitions, expect something to appear within a week.

DOUBLE POST

Is there out there any last action hero fan edit, which makes the fictional flick the core of the movie, and erase the first act + make the climax better ? I always thought this flick should have started with the jack slater IV opening.

OK, here’s a request, a difficult one :

Does anyone out there owns the workprint of ESCAPE FROM LA : it would be great to put back the edited scenes (mudslide, fight with the KKK), also to put the original Escape From NY soundtrack in place of the new soundtrack !
