There’s Hard Rock, Punk Rock, Rock ‘N’ Roll, Soft Rock, Pop Rock, Country Rock, Indie Rock, Alternative… Rock is a bit of an umbrella term.
I think Queen is soft rock.
What is rock supposed to sound like? Last time I checked, rock’s got a thousand subgenres, all with varying similarities/dissimilarities between them.
