It must be true, because it hasn't been denied by anyone and even Bush said he was disgusted in it.

What disturbs me the most is that a woman would participate in this freakshow. I guess I always held the stereotype that women are naturally passive.

And about guns being selled in wal-mart, well, watch "bwoling in columbine" and you'll know how I feel about it. 'Nuff said.

Bowling for Columbine is a joke of a movie that combines lies, exaggerations, and forgery to get its point across.

The Wal-mart scenes are faked.

Its because of all the damn kids. Kids have the natural habit of rejecting anything not made within their lifetime and embracing new things. When they see the remake of a movie, then they will regard that movie as being the best because they think the original is too outdated. Well, eventually, the remake is going to look outdated too, but only to another generation of teenagers who will see yet a third remake of this film.

Kelly's Heroes stars Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalas, Donald Sutherland, Don Rickles, and many other up-n-coming talents. Savalas plays Little Joe, the leader of a squad of G.I.s in France. Eastwood is as suave as ever as Kelly, one of the squad commanders. Eastwood's character hatches a plan to go behind enemy lines and rob a Nazi bank full of gold bars. Little Joe is against the idea, but after everyone else is convinced he goes along. Donald Sutherland plays Oddball, a tank commander who is hired by Kelly to use his 3 tanks, and crews, to breach enemy lines. Oddball is reminiscent of a late 60's hippy, and is the funniest character. On their way to the enemy bank Kelly and his guys get way over their heads when they discover that Oddball hired an entire marching band to reconstruct a downed bridge.

Joke: Oddball: (looking through binoculars at bridge) "Its still up!" *applause* (Allied plane comes by and blows bridge to smithereens) Oddball: "No it aint!"

While Kelly and company are fighting off enemies, the general (played by Carroll O'Connor) listens in to them on a radio from his French suite and thinks they're fighting for the allies LOL. Don Rickles plays Crapgame, a war-time oppurtunist who sells things to G.I.s. He comes along for the ride to get his share of the gold. At the bank the heroes are met with a few German tanks. In a funny scene Oddball, Kelly, and Joe all walk down the street side by side towards the last German tank with The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly-like theme playing on the soundtrack. The German tank commander gets out and they compromise and blow up the bank gate with the tank.

Its a hilarious and very fun movie. Its one of those movies you never get tired of watching because its so damn fun and cool......like Big Trouble in Little China.

Or how about another quote from master Bareja? From his TV series, "Alternative-Street 4"

Control room of a central heating unit somewhere in the capital.
- ...so the coal transports had to return to the mine.
- Darn, then how are we supposed to heat the whole city block?
- Well sir, I thought we could shut down the newly built set of blocks...
- But it's already cold there! If we turn off the heating completely, they're gonna freeze!
- Look sir, this is the farthest place we support, the pipes are going for kilometers, they're not insulated yet, so we loose 50% heat...
- 50%? hmmmm...
- ...and the blocks are not finished yet, hole here, crack there - that makes another 50%...
- ...well, well...
- ...and not all flats have tenants already, so we heat empty space - again, 50%...
- Now that does it! We loose, like what? 150% heat! You were right - shut it down at once!
- Right away, chief!

I think the first quote is from "Kelly's Heroes" said by Oddball (played by Donald Sutherland), one of my favorite movies!

Director Notes: (4/14/04) Quentin Tarantino recently told SciFi.com that he has talked with Pierce Brosnan about his dream idea of doing a serious, non-comedic adaptation of Ian Fleming's first James Bond novel, 'Casino Royale.' Tarantino's idea is to take the franchise back to its roots, on a much lower budget, for Brosnan's last Bond movie (figuring that after this movie, the franchise is going to restart with a new Bond so they have nothing to lose). Tarantino admits that he is unlikely to get to do this, but it's fun to imagine anyway. Here's hoping he gets to do it.

I cant imagine tarantino making a dark movie. His Bond movie would be more like Pulp Fiction.

Bond:"Does M look like a bitch?" Enemy:"Wha?" Bond:"Say "what" again mother fucker, say "what" again!"

Bond:"Does M look like a bitch?" Enemy:"No" Bond:"Then why you tryin to fuck him like one?"

Bond:"You sending in the Q?" Bond:"Shit nigga! That's all you had to saay!"

That being said, and having been given some very thorough descriptions of the differences between the two, I would have to side with SES. The one thing the remake has going for it is atmosphere; the world the characters inhabit is creepy and disgusting. one of the major problems with it, though, is that it lacks a sense of humour, which the original has in spades. The banquet scene alone is a great chuckle, albeit it sick one. Am I on the right path here, SES?

Deffinately!

I would recommend you finishing the original though! Itss gggrrreaat!

Yea, I know this movie's been out for awhile, but I just saw it for the first time the other day when I bought the god awful dvd. One of the worst remakes I've ever seen. And its not just my comparison of it with the original that makes it look bad; IT IS Bad! The direction is awful, the acting is awful, the story is awful, etc... I am so tired of hearing these little kids on other forums talk about how great the remake is over the original. I just want to put my foot so far up their asses it hurts!

I've never had homicidal thoughts until now! (okay, maybe just a few)
