I know AoTC and ROTS have a hard time restoring the film versions of their theatrical release…
Not ROTS. The only difference between the theatrical and DVD is a cut vs. a wipe. The DVD version was shown in HD so it is available, and the BD has the proper wipe, so a reconstruction would be very simple.
Huh. I thought there were some dialogue changes in RotS like there apparently was in AotC. My mistake.
In the Blu Rays, yes. But not the DVDs.
Are there any preservation efforts for the Theatrical Versions of the Prequels, most importantly the Phantom Menace? I wouldn’t be surprised it there wasn’t, they’re not popular films and there aren’t nearly as many changes, let alone controversial ones. However, there are some changes, especially to the Phantom Menace, so there might be one out there, and there definitely will be one made in the future.

It wasn’t ever released but I also don’t think it was abandoned, it’s hard to juggle these things with real life.

Can we answer with the prequels? They’re not Special Editions, but I can get the logic between pretty much every SE change. I don’t agree with the logic, but I at least get it. What I don’t get the logic behind is changing the order of a few shots at the end of AotC.

Sorry ); It felt weird not having an ending but I didn’t know what to say as one.
How was this done? Because I’m way too late into doing AotC and RotS to switch over to this, and (I know this is very naughty, but I don’t plan on releasing my fanedits so I guess is it OK?) I have bits of other people’s fanedits tucked in, especially in these latter two prequels. And obviously I have no idea what happened here or how to do it.

Do you mind making some opening crawls for me, but in the style of the ones of the Original Trilogy? I tried making the crawls myself, but it ended up looking wrong. Here’s some snapshots showing what I mean. I’m not 100% sure what the difference is, but I think maybe the font is bolded or something, and the crawl might be coming in at a different angle. Please do not add in the Starfield, and additionally, please make the crawl way too slow, like 5 minutes long. I want to put the Starfields in myself, and I want to synchronise the crawls to the music cue. Leave out the subtitle and episode number, it’s not possible to sync it up to the music cue if the crawl has either of those things, without it looking stupid, at least.
The texts are here. There’s no A New Hope or the Empire Strikes Back crawls because I’m just using Harmy for ANH, and using Harmy but covering up the Episode Number and Subtitle for ESB. There’s no the Phantom Menace crawl because I plan on removing the crawl, treating TPM like the anthology it is.
