I have always wondered if you could rewrite the crawl and re edit a few things to make episode 3 the only prequel. Not sure how you would be able to do that though.

Easy. The only stuff you’re missing if you cut out AotC is that Dooku is the leader of the Separatists, who are trying to break away from the Republic, which started the Clone Wars. Everything else is implied later.

I don’t know what it is, but it’s very obvious that the footage is from a video game. I’m going with lighting, for the Vader scene linked earlier in the thread, but for other scenes, faces and motion too.

Is it possible to make Starkiller Base not a Death Star III? I’m sure people have already thought of this, but is it possible?

It’s different. Different stuff is refreshing. Not necessarily good, but different and interesting to look at once in a while. I would never show it to a newcomer to Star Wars, and I probably wouldn’t ever watch it in a marathon with friends, but I might look at a scene or two every once in a while.

Yes. The general look of the movie isn’t all that different. Obviously the tone and content are different, but the look isn’t.

It sounds similar, but I can’t see any of the videos linked so I don’t know for sure. If that isn’t what I’m talking about, it’s probably what inspired it.

I remember seeing, probably a year or so ago, a WIP fanedit that completely removed Jar Jar from the prequels, or maybe just the Phantom Menace, I don’t remember. It was pretty amazing, removing him from the audio, and erasing him from the video, too. It had a trailer on dailymotion or vimeo, probably the latter. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find anything on it anywhere anymore. Does anyone remember this, and have any links to anything on it?

That would defeat the purpose of the crawl, but I’ll play along.

After doing some thinking, that would only work for RotS, which would show the beginning of the Battle of Coruscant, and ANH, which would show maybe the beginning of the chase, as in Rogue One. All the others really can’t have much of an opening scene before it.

Could you link to the Vader scene?

This wipe here is temporary, right?

And not a huge fan of restoring Vader’s shuttle. It kinda messes with the pacing, and it’s unnecessary.

It actually isn’t. The Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope use one set of fonts, Return of the Jedi and the prequels use another. The Force Awakens uses the fonts from ESB and ANH, likely to distance itself from the worse films and to make itself closer to the better films.

Looking for logos of the Star Wars movies in the style of the Star Wars logo. Obviously I don’t need any for ANH.

Also, if one exists for the Last Jedi, that would be cool, but I doubt there is one.

I can speak for the cloud cover one: Tatooine is entirely a desert, so it should have not enough water to make clouds. (Sorry if this has already been answered)

I no longer need this, I just cut out the shot, but it looks like someone else wants it.
