Looking for logos of the Star Wars movies in the style of the Star Wars logo. Obviously I don’t need any for ANH.
Also, if one exists for the Last Jedi, that would be cool, but I doubt there is one.

I will tint all outdoor, daytime scenes on Tatooine a heavy pink.
I will remove any significant cloud cover from Tatooine’s sky.

I can speak for the cloud cover one: Tatooine is entirely a desert, so it should have not enough water to make clouds. (Sorry if this has already been answered)

I posted this in my project thread, but since that tends to get buried quite fast, I’m looking for some stabilized and denoised shots from the SSE - in particular the lightsaber shots on board the Falcon and the final section of the Obi-wan/Vader duel, where they are in the doorway to the hangar. It would be super helpful to have these shots for lightsaber replacements on the Blu-ray, so the denoising would need to marry into that footage.
What exactly are you looking for? Shots without the film grain?

Ady, I’m curious if you have any plans to include or exclude the Death Star’s brief appearance at the end of Episode III.
I believe it’s not going to be there. Personally, I think it’d be better, watching chronologically, if you don’t know a DS could exist until R1 or even the crawl for ANH.
Assuming the prequels are good movies (which they aren’t, but I’m hoping Adywan can change that if possible), then watching them chronologically would have that as kind of a cliffhanger. You’d be wondering what this big thing they’re constructing is.

I’d put the opening crawl as “Episode 3”, or “Episode 2”, even, not “Episodes 1 - 2 - 3”. As cool as that was, I think it should all be just one episode. Episodes 1 and 2 (Or 1 and 3) would just be things that never came out.

Maybe. I think I would only want to do this if I could somehow make the picture quality and effects feel like they came from the OT era. As it stands now I think it’s okay to use the newer logos since the rest of the film is clearly of its time and not from the 70s/80s.
Don’t use the old logos, use the one from RotS. I think it’s kinda wrong to use the logos that aren’t on the theatrical movie.

Well, they get hate from fans because they’re bad movies, and they’re considered irrelevant because they’re not as culturally iconic as the OT.
But he looks nothing like the Return version. Its inclusion implies he looked for 20 years like he did in Revenge then changed completely in 3 years.
RotJ takes place 2 weeks to 6 months after ESB. So it’s even worse.

Notice that ANH and ESB never say who Anakin’s master was. They only say that Vader was Obi-Wan’s apprentice.
I mean, it’s kind of implied that if Vader is Anakin, and Obi-Wan taught Vader, Obi-Wan probably taught Anakin. So it’s not like they never say that in ESB.
It would be interesting if Yoda was Anakin’s master. In fact, in the Brackett draft of ESB, the Luke/Anakin lightsaber has the coordinates to Dagobah stored on it. This makes me think that Brackett intended for Yoda to be Anakin’s master. After Obi-Wan and Anakin complete their training, Obi-Wan, arrogant in his ability to be a master, trains Vader, and the rest is history. It would also be interesting if Yoda warned Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Vader not to get involved in the Clone Wars, but they ignore Yoda’s warning.

I have more or less the same problem with that part of ROTJ, but I think at that point in the trilogy you either accept the fairy-tale vocabulary or you just won’t learn to appreciate the original trilogy.
There’s only really bad fairy-tale vocabulary in RotJ.

As someone who artistically re-purposes old things into new things almost daily, I know what you’re getting at. But the “trash” has to have some value in it to redeem. The PT doesn’t have that.
Besides, like I said the PT is crap, not trash. And nobody’s turning poop into anything people wanna see. Frink has turned the poop into a joke, so there’s that. But turning poop into a good movie? Not possible.
You can add the purest and cleanest water to mud, but all you’ll get is more mud. You can also take the sicks and rocks out, but it’s still mud.
idk, I quite enjoy my newly completed fanedits of AotC and RotS, and I think I might like my version of TPM, as soon as they’re done. Definitely not as good as the OT, but still decent. And tons of people love HAL9000’s edits and l8wrtr’s edits. I guess your opinion is your opinion, though.

There’s nothing good about the PT to bring out through a re-edit. They aren’t decent films hidden under a pile of crap. They are crap through and through.
