Rogue One * Spoilers * Thread
Time

I know very passionate fans, of any fandom, can sometimes take it to a whole other level.
But at the end of the day, you have to stop squabbling at the super nitty bitty gritty of details.
I like a wide variety of Movies, TV, Cartoons, Video Games & collecting said memorabilia.
However, no matter how much I like a certain media, the Forums & Communities have superfans that know “absolutely everything”.
I can never attain that level of dedication.

I’m just glad that these Forums exist and everyone can share their knowledge & love for whatever intrigues them.

Well, this is a big community, where one of the common goals is to preserve the Original Trilogy. Everyone whose contributed to this cause, have used many sources. These sources all lead up to the Original movies, which were created by George Lucas & the entire team involved. Without them, we’d have nothing to talk about.

However, if George Lucas never made any changes, then we’d have nothing to do, except discuss our love for the Original Trilogy, and, to a lesser extent, the Prequel Trilogy.

However, I really hated the CG Tarkin. The scenes with CG Tarkin, threw me out of the movie experience.
Unfortunately, he’s an important character and needed to be in the movie.
It sorta felt like a “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” Meets “Star Wars”, mixing Animation/CG with Live Action.

For me, Tarkin was one of the highlights of the film.

In all honesty, the CG of Tarkin is a good effort, but I just wish they didn’t go the CG route.
If there was a way to superimpose old Tarkin footage from Star Wars to match up with the scene.
I know that wouldn’t be perfect either, but they might’ve been able to pull that off a little better.
As long as they kept the scenes short.

Anyways, to each their own.

@LexX, For sure… Video games had to start somewhere. Without games like PONG and older proto-games, there may not have been video Games as we know them today. Of course, the Video Games crash of 1983 almost killed entire gaming world. Luckily, Nintendo was there to pull everyone out of the mud, and into updated Video Game graphics.

BTW, here’s a video of the Intellivision version of Star Wars, which looks exactly the Atari version.

@Ronster, Yeah, the orange on the pilots’ jumpsuits are almost all identical. The screenshot of the Pilot after the Porkins screenshot looks slightly brighter.
I guess, it also depends on everyone’s monitors/TVs, videocard colour settings and calibrations. Heck, even I notice some colour variance from my multi screens when working with Photoshop or checking images.
Regardless, your work is amazing. Keep up the great work!

I really liked the scenes that showed each Rogue One member sacrifice themselves for the greater good.
I especially liked K-2SO sacrificing himself in the Archive/Data room, to give them enough time to retrieve the plans.
The little nods the movie provided for the fans was a nice touch.
Obviously, the final Vader scene was incredible, and shows how angry, possibly hangry, he can really be.

I’d like to watch it again, since it’s already been a month since I first saw it.
