PT 3D releases

It's not dead, but Disney hasn't been releasing 3-D movies on Blu Ray in states for a while, not even a hugely popular thing like Frozen.

They didn't even bother with any 3-D theatrical engagements of Lucasfilm's Strange Magic as far as I can tell. And some scenes in the movie were clearly intended for the format.

Marvel thankfully does it own thing with regards to Blu Ray.

That explains why I haven't seen ONE copy in canada XD. Yeah my family wanted frozen in 3D so bad but could find it haha

I didn't see it but by reviews I've read the only convincing 3D aspect of TPM3D was the crawl. Everything else reportedly looked pale and muddy.

Is 3D blu-ray dead? Because I would like to read a comparison between the theatrical 3D and the home cinema 3D releases.

Maybe that would be the way to watch this sort of thing.

On that subject I shall soon be getting the blu-ray set so that I can drop the DVDs off at a charity shop and have them ready for ESB:R.

... I didn't even know it came out on blu ray 3D XD ...

The new Star Wars comics - a general discussion thread
Time

I picked up the first issue a day after it came out and got the last copy! Enjoyed it quite a bit, written in character too (which is what I was quite worried about). Stumbled across this thread just now and thought I should write a bit about it. Threepio is written exactly like in the movies and so is just about everyone else (Han Solo was quite impressively scripted as well). The setting starts pretty fast and the whole Chewie trying to snipe Vader thing was awesome! The only thing I didn't like was one scene where this guy pulls out like a lightsaber/whip thingy that really didn't fit in with the rest of the universe, my main concern about that is that apparently everything Disney releases from now on is canon but... I don't like a lazer-whip anywhere but in the goofy place called the EU. Overall; good comic, hoping that the game store will sell the second one.

PT 3D releases
Time

So recently I was on flipboard and came across an article talking about how at star wars celebration 2015 they will show the whole PT in 3D. Apparently they showed AOTC in 3D at the international one already but now the whole PT will be showcased in 3D. Do you people think that it will be released into the public? I hope so, that would make a pretty kickass fanedit because with the PT being so bland I think a 3D conversion would make it pretty cool. I found this intersting little article here about it: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2013/07/26/ive-seen-star-wars-episode-ii-attack-of-the-clones-in-3d-and-i-want-to-tell-you-about-it/

and they talk about it right on the actual website on the front page. What do you guys think? Would people try to make it a fanedit? Does anyone actually care? I thought it was pretty interesting that they finished the PT but never released it.

hey do there need to be more seeders because it seems to be downloading pretty slow.also the reason i asked about that for episode 2 was because i was trying figure out when exactly the 1080p ep 3 edit was coming out. can more seeders be added so i can get it to download at a more normal speed.

There is one seeder, because only one person has it, and he is kindly uploading it for the rest of us.

When you are done downloading it, *YOU* will be a seeder. So will the rest of us! But here's the thing. Once we're done downloading it, some of us will *continue* seeding it. We will be seeders! That's where the name comes from.

But here's the trick: Do you see what you did with your other downloads? You downloaded them, and then stopped seeding them. So other people cannot download them from you. You are, distinctly *not* a seeder.

I got lost at seeder, can you just sum up why there is only one seeder? lol jkjk ;P

Question about the 1997 special edition of ESB
Time

Considering George Lucas made a point of mentioning the amount of money it would cost to restore the OT, and that being the reason for him not doing it, outside of the fact he says they no longer exist, ............ no.

:)

I don't understand this reply... are you joking around or what? Money is no object when George Lucas wants something (CGI was pretty expensive stuff in the late 90's) and they DO exist because... Harmy put together a complete theatrical release of the original films and has way less than half the material that George Lucas had to make it. And... what does this have to do with the thread anyway?

only reason why i asked when next month it was coming out was because it was a long time since i posted on here and thought he'd have an update by now that's all like a rough idea.

I know, screw smooth ideas. Rough and course ones like sand are my favourite, also if you're gonna ask a question about his episode three edit, post in on the episode 3 edit thread. The VCD one comes out this week but the VHS release may take a while to burn to a bluray.
