I'm tending to agree.  And I got ya, MattM.  I didn't see it as snarky. :p

I have wanted to use that art for a frickin' long time.  This seemed like the perfect project.  The thing I like the best about it is that it echos Jambe's 'ring of fire' in the other logo.  I sent him another cover yesterday without the chaykin art, in case anyone found it too busy.

Would a translucent solid logo be better or an outline version?

Some feedback from those lucky individuals that have seen Star Wars Begins:

"Loved it. Just great; there's behind the scenes footage I don't think I've ever seen before, which says something."

"Congratulations!  Just finished watching and you've accomplished something wonderful, yet again.
People will enjoy this one, and lead them into the others."

"I just watched it and absolutely loved it :-)

Good job and thanks for making this!"
"Just finished watching it Jambe.

Fantastic! And my ego was truly rubbed when I saw my name in the credits. :-D"

Oh and here's a cover I knocked up last night:

That's the 2nd best cover I've seen for Star Wars Begins.

It said Webberg whereever I was reading about it; I swear!

Check out the Deathstar. See anything out of the ordinary? Must be a production painting or something; I don't have any of my books at my disposal, but I seem to remember seeing drawings or paintings of it with the superlaser on the axis before, but don't recall this particular one.

Good call.  This is an unused matte painting.  Once ILM and Lucas changed the design, they didn't have time to change the graphic for the briefing as Jambe said.  They also replaced these mattes with physical models.

I think the tweaks look too yellow.  The originals seem more natural to me.  You can just leave Jedi alone as well, in my opinion.

I like the V3 better as well.  I'd say leave it too.

:)

+1

It's only in the Endor ones that it looks yellow to me.  Other than that, both the tweaked one and the v3 looked fine.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about these.

The tweaked version of Yoda looked a little yellow for me, but the rest of the tweaked ones are great!
