It's a fan edit, it's a challenge, it's a poll, it's a cry for help, it's... Star Wars: The Longer Versions!

Well, I'm back for a question or two.

1.) Is there a better quality video of the Droid Ship Cut Scene from AotC than the one available in Deleted Magic? Just curious.

This was only released as a feature from the official site. The one on DM came from there.

Klokwerk, your revised cover looks better than the original. I've had all my original EditDroid discs in a safe place for a while now and I've needed a cover for my copy of the monomix version. It will be great to have one with the corrected audio track info on it as well. Cant wait to see the final version.

The only thing that's holding me back now are the 3 framed images. I don't have them :/ Plus I can't seem to find the "X-Wing vs TIE" image nor the shot of Tatooine (at least not in that quality). Anyone want to help out? At the moment I have cleaned-up, upsized versions of everything from the scan - I'd like to use better quality though. The color on the front poster art could also be debated.

Yup, it is for the Philips set. It was an 'inside joke' between them and some friends.

Jambe,

I'm pretty sure you mentioned that you have John Knoll's book, Star Wars: 365 Days, but it was just something that came to mind as something that will probably be a good resource. In addition, if you haven't seen them already, these two books might come in handy:

- Industrial Light & Magic: The Art of Special Effects, by Thomas G. Smith
- Industrial Light & Magic: Into the Digital Realm, by Mark Cotta Vaz and Patricia Rose Duignan

They can be rather expensive, as I believe they are both out of print (not sure about that, but I think they're on the rarer side, at least), but one can get fairly good deals if one used for used copies on Amazon.com or BarnesandNoble.com (I have Into the Digital Realm, and that's how I got it).

Hope this helps!

Take care,
Sojourn

I have all three of these as well.

I think that would be Goodmusician. And wouldn't this be the same thing as the 2 CD set of the Ultimate TPM soundtrack that was released a few years ago?

And Klokwerk, I see you have a thousand posts. Congrats on the promotion!

Hopefully some hi-res versions can be supplied so I can make this cover reconstruction the best quality. Here is what I'm missing:
* X-Wing vs TIE shot from the top of the back cover
* Tatooine shot from the bottom of the back cover (somebody told me that this is from that news article about a Tatooine-like planet, if so - is there a hi-res still somewhere?
* The stills in the blue frames (they're not screenshots. I think they're promo stills but they're not in my collection of promo shots)

I've got all of these, but they are at home so I won't be able to get them up for another few hours. The cover looks great so far!

Every time I reconstruct a cover from a scan the original pops up. Grr. Anyone have any covers for me to reconstruct that aren't gonna show up as soon as I start working on 'em?

Sorry about that. Thanks Klokwerk!

I was actually was going to recommend the EditDroid logo as an addition there.

The EditDroid guys (if I remember correctly) wanted the set to look like a retail release since there wasn't one at the time. Hence the bar code. I wonder what it was from?

Yeah, I guess I'm one of the old ones too...

I wonder if I was there. That's when I saw it.
