Two hundred pounds of movie stills in a wooden coffin.

I'll check the archives for generator shots. I seem to think I have something...
Meanwhile, are you thinking of adding any product placement in the movie? This looks like it goes there
Welcome aboard, Greedo.
How were you able to recover after getting blown away at the hands of an unscrouplous smuggler?

I can't believe I just noticed this, but is that Zuckuss at the right of the screencap? If it is, then that's two bounty hunters in this scene!
It is actually the Zuckuss head on a 2-1B body.

We first see IG-88 here in the bounty hunter scene.
In the book "Tales of a Bounty Hunter" Boba Fett 'killed' IG-88 and he wound up here in the junk pile (next to the furnace). But for continuity, his color will have to be changed to match.
Ady's not gonna make a change based on an EU book. The book should have matched the movie.
Yup, the same one. Only the hood is different. It will make Palpy look more like this:
This trailer should be easy enough to put together. Maybe a day or two of scanning in the images and using a program (like avisynth) to assemble the images into a movie. Extracting the audio is a different headache all together.
OK, Zombie, I'm almost convinced, but how do we know that the difference isn't just a difference of the aspect ratios of each of the frames. Is it only the moon that is the different shape?
EDIT: Nevermind. I went back and watched the scenes again. The matte lines around the moon was enough for me. My faith in LFL is shaken!
That's no moon. That's a space station.
So the moon gets re-comped because they didn't like where it was. They should have stopped when they were ahead.
*on edge of my seat*
Not to beat a dead horse here, but it seems Lucas created the new Vader and Palpatines lines to forshadow the big reveal later in the movie.
EMPEROR: We have a new enemy, the young Rebel who destroyed the Death Star. I have no doubt this boy is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker.
VADER: How is that possible?
EMPEROR: Search your feelings, Lord Vader. You will know it to be true. He could destroy us.
VADER: Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.
LUKE: He told me enough! He told me you killed him.
VADER: No. I am your father.
LUKE: No. No. That's not true! That's impossible!
VADER: Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
I think that the idea behind the new dialogue is interesting, but the wording along with Ian's delivery don't make the SE change an improvement to the original.
Beating done.
I think it is a great change. At least until Vader suggested that Luke be turned to the dark side. Palps seems to do a 180 degree turn in his thought. It really takes away from his earlier determination. Maybe that's just me.
But Palpatines interruption was a great addition, nonetheless. I'd love to see it end up in an edit someday.
So you could say the 1981 version of Star Wars was the first Special Edition.
I thought the clip looked great!
I was wondering about how much work you are doing with the opening crawls...
I know you reworked the one for SWR to match the others. The vertical placement of the crawls is different in all six movies. Of you overlaid all six crawls from the films on each other, you get this:
It is a small thing, but it would be great to see the crawls along the same plane. Not that one watches all six at once, but it is more of a subconscious thing.
Um...
I think SKot and -1 are talking about the Empire reel.
As far as the 35mm trailer for Star Wars, I was thinking about bidding, but if you are, dfnyc, I'll refrain as to not drive up the price. Let me know if you want some money to help pay for the thing. I'm happy to help.
Glad to see this thread back.
It seemed weird to me to start a Star Wars movie without a star destroyer, but the start you have does the best you can without it. And personally, I wasn't glad to see the musical number still there. But that's just my opinion.
I think an exchange between Boush and Fett is a great idea.

I just got a response from the owner and he says he doesn't know how long it is but there is a shot of leia french kissing chewie in it. Looking forward to that.
Was going to bid on it but if one of you guys does, then forget it.
It looks like negative 1 is out for the partial trailer. You want a go at this dfnyc?
That's more EU mumbo-jumbo. There were never 6 scout walkers.
I'd really love to see this one. I've never seen a trailer that features the 'pointed w' logo. Part of me wonders if this trailer might have anything odd in it. Like the almost mythical 'missed grappling hook throw' scene.
You are beating a dead AT-AT, my friend.

Is Sluggo the one who originally added an edit of the audio of the radio drama over the treadwell scene as seen on t'bones star wars universe and deleted magic?
Yes, that was me. It might have been done back in '96 or so. The file still might be at T'bone's SW Universe. For Deleted Magic, OCPMovie redid the audio based on what I (to be honest, I did the audio while watching the clip off of a VHS capture of the CD-ROM; my friend FryGuy spliced it up to the video for me.) had put together.
I got my copy the other day (thanks InfoDroid!) and finally had time to watch it.
Fantastic. As soon as the menu popped up, I knew I was in for something special. The new opening was great. The new credits worked brilliantly with the trek to the palace. The movie started out dark and really set the proper tone for the film. Especially without the craziness of Willie. I'll post a formal review soon.
In the mean time, I promised InfoDroid I'd PiF a few copies, so if three of you chaps want one, drop me a line.
Just like them to squash something cool.
LFL ought to just put up the same type of thing on starwars.com.
