My great-great-great grandfather.
My great-great-great grandfather.
This thread is now about guns.
I really don't want to see a film full of Batman-villains. The Dark Knight was great because it really got to explore the character of the Joker because he didn't have to sacrifice his screen time. The later Batman films of the 80's had so many villains that none got the attention they deserved. Jack Nicholson was fun as the Joker because he had the time to really do something with the character. And remember the mess that Spider-man 3 had with its villains? Who could keep track of it all?
The Riddler would be awesome, especially if he was the only villain.
Poor Ziggy. I always tried to cut the kid some slack, but he really self-destructed. Part of me wonders if he isn't socking here still.
I don't like using the term myself or referring to Luca$. The point isn't really clever anymore. And really, does anyone still need to be convinced that Lucas hasn't totally sold out? No.
Back on topic:
It is easy to point to characters that can ruin a series, but a bit tougher to find ones that add to the series. Lando in the first post is a great example of this. Would Boba Fett be considered in this vein? Granted, he was totally thrown away in ROTJ, but as far as his appearance in Empire, he really made the franchise even cooler, for a while anyway.
Even my smarty-pants attitude extends to my serious questions.
I guess you are referring to teams that are not actively maintained?
1. Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back
2. Star Wars
3. Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
4. Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
5. Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure
6. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Poochie. He totally ruined a classic cartoon series.
What's a ghost team? Do they have ghost runners?
Warb, you need a name and an avatar based on a comic book character. Then you can be in our secret club.
Your giant cash bribe is in the mail.
Thanks Frink. I'd best keep both of 'em.
Frinkster,
I made a move on my league. Can I have you take a look at it and see if I did it correctly. I am not quite used to the way Yahoo has it set up.
I feel a bit sorry for him.
It couldn't have been easy for him to be known as Arnold from Different Strokes who is famous for one line.
I think he really just wanted to be left alone.
We need a thread about reptiles.
Yeah. Jennifer. Loraine was Marty's mom.
Steve Martin as Inspector Clouseau. Kevin Klein should have played the Inspector, not Martin.
That new actress for Loraine in BTTF:2. That was impossible to take the rest of the franchise seriously after that fiasco.
I think I pictured Luke getting married and having kids before rebuilding the Jedi order. I never imagined Luke going out looking for recruits, but rather settling down only to step up and do more of his Jedi bizness once trouble arose or some new force adept person was found. The Cambpellian 'Call to Adventure' seems to go to Luke and not the other way around.

If you can watch it on the ESB:R facebook group then i would recommend it as youtube video quality really sucks and has taken out all the detail
Nice test! It is just enough to show it is meant to be a real object without being over the top and in your face.

I think you mean that with great power comes great responsibleness.
Sweetness! Maybe I'll watch it tonight.
Thanks!
So has anyone on this board mentioned that Star Wars was released today as well. Seems odd that 'Towel Day' gets a nod when the anniversary is also today.

A couple other notes...
Sluggo, I haven't mentioned it yet, but you have a guy on your bench who is DL-eligible, you could use that spot to add an RP (which has an empty slot all year).
Gah! I've got the full-time job and the school at night. I'm trying to make a little room in my noggin for fantasy baseball, but it just doesn't fit yet.
I probably would have seen Episode 1 and would have liked it ok. Since it didn't have the standards of the OT to live up to, things like the midiclorians wouldn't would have been so bad.
I don't think I would have liked enough to see any sequels after that. And I certainly wouldn't have spent any money on toys.
