He looked okay for the most part but had too many scenes.
The voice work for the character was inconsistent and CGI Tarkin was too tall.
The film would have worked better with more Vader and less Tarkin, imo.
I’d get rid of any cutesy/comedy moments involving the Ewoks.
The problem with, that, though, is that you’re attempting to portray the Ewoks as an actual threat if you take out anything that makes them seem otherwise, but they at their core are meant to be cute
They can still be cute but removing some of the more silly moments won’t hurt them or the film.
Edit out the shot of Wicket knocking himself out with the bolas and shorten the moment an Ewok steals a speeder bike. I’d end the scene just as the biker scouts begin their pursuit. Dump the footage of the Ewok trying to control the bike.

Prune back any cut-away shots to Salacious Crumb laughing.
TESB taking place over months makes some sense if you assume the Falcon has reserve foodstuffs to sustain the crew for long journeys. That way Luke has ample time to do his elementary Jedi Knight training with Yoda on Dagobah.
That would mean the captain and princess have been wearing the same clothes for months. Even if the clothing does get cleaned, wouldn’t Solo have changed into a different set of clothes instead of wearing the same outfit?
The OOT would make the perfect Criterion release. That way the plebs can have their version and we can have the historically important set. I would buy it for full MSRP on release.
I’d pay full price for that - ALIEN & ALIENS also.
I’ve never been a fan of DISNEY but I require only two items from them: a fully-restored OOT in 4K and 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA (1954).

I enjoyed this film a lot, apart from a few (well, more than a few) missteps.
The Yoda force ghost looked bad - especially the very first shot of him. I didn’t think the blue aura surrounding him was pronounced enough. Maybe force ghosts begin to fade with time?
It was nice that he still had a sense of humour - something not seen in a long while.

I tried downloading the files for the Despecialized trilogy once, it took about 24 hours - for one film. I also downloaded the software used to convert the files, the software did nothing, I gave up.
I still don’t have the Despecialized versions and have never seen them.
I would never pay for a fan edit/restoration. The 2006 OOT non-anamorphic DVD’s will do for now, until these films are shown the proper respect they deserve.

Reading some of the comments for the video link posted, the person responsible thinks he’s doing OOT fans a service. Satisfied customers are praising this leach.
As some others have commented - Lucas is the real villain for withholding the original versions.
I like Luke’s POV as he’s dragged behind the Wampa. Your artwork makes the scene more terrifying than what appeared on screen, as Luke was unconscious at that point.

Agreed. It’s interesting seeing the contrast in Mr Lloyd’s appearance, he looks reasonably clean-cut in the first image compared to the last.
Jake had done some conventions before his current mental health problems caught up with him.

I’d like to see a film dealing with Imperial recruitment, ordinary folk (no BS clones) signing up to make a difference in the galaxy. Seeing them trained as officers, pilots or troopers - like a two hour recruitment/propaganda film.
Seeing the Imperial conditioning/brain-washing used on these individuals, to turn them into a positive force for good. A conditioning that equates (in their diseased minds) the rebels to womp rats - vermin to be exterminated.
I know this sounds grim but I like the idea. Or DISNEY could put an uplifting, positive spin on this and turn it into their STAR WARS take on a TOP GUN-style fantasy.
All that jumping and leaping about like manic cartoon characters is nuts. I would have liked to have seen the numerous action sequences presented more realistically.
Anyone who saw the behind the scenes doc on TPM, watched the three kids they test screened, and then watched them pick the worst one of the three, and still defends how Anakin was portrayed…sorry, no.
I’d say the other two child actors dodged a bullet.
