Team Negative1 - Return of the Jedi 1983 - 35mm Theatrical Version (unfinished project)

That said, once all is said and done, there may be some 'grindhouse' original versions with minimal fixes or none at all. We'll decide when the time comes.

Finally, all of our versions will have:

=======================================

1 Color correction - to match the originals as close as possible

2 Original sound - taken from the reels, from the original source

3 Stabilization

4 Cropping - to match theatrical presentation

5 Dirt cleanup

6 Dust and other marks cleanup - unless they are in the original film

We are not aiming at perfection, but for most cases, the films will be true to the condition they should have been in on a new print.

We can not, and will not be matching the blurays on clarity, or detail. Even with the highest quality equipment, it will have its own unique look.

As you can see from the previews, film grain, and other film qualities will remain intact.

Team Negative1

That just sounds awesome cant wait

When you get through working your animation, go back into Element and find the anti-aliasing settings. Jack them up as high as they will go and you shouldn't have anymore jaggies. The render time will most likely be a lot longer, but your final project will look much better.

Iv Already Tried That

Loving the intro, but the letters should stay in their position once in place and then the screen should fade out. To have them fly off again is a bit cheesy IMO.

firstly thanks for your input im sorting that out I do also believe that they should stay there, I think i got carried away

I agree with Brash (2).

Yeah defo I agree

FVDnz said:

Well I for one actually thinks it looks pretty cool.  Sure it might be a little busy with the separate letters spinning around.  Either or, the full name or the the jumbled letters.  The music editing could use a little work but overall nice mix-up. :)

The Music isnt Final that was me just messing about with the 20th Century Fox logo music mixed is star wars but anyway when I first made the original logo for years back for Ady, he changed it anyway cos the track I used was Terrible, and he may do again, I just put it in as i Like my Videos to have some kind for sound just for fun. Im sure you guys have better Idea :-)

nightstalkerpoet said:

I actually don't mind that the letters fly off, though I think it would look better if they fly off at a faster speed.

I may try this as I was thinking of it BUT lets just see what people think of the next one where the TEXT is Static on the end

Excellent job, but I'm going to have to agree with Brash as well! :-/

Thanks Man

Hey Sky! Good to see you working to update the opening logos for the new edit. I have a few specific pieces of feedback for you; hopefully they'll be helpful.

From what I'm seeing, it looks like you're making good use of the Optical Flares and Element3D plugins. They're two of my favorites, and I use them a lot in my own work.

You are correct and I will try messing about with the Plugins and aslo you can write shit loads dude you should write Novels

Monroville said:

I never really had a problem with the old one.  Personally, if anything, I would just update the graphics on the old design to retain consistency.

But if you wanted to play with alternate or even radical new intros for Ady, here are some possible ideas:

(1) being that these are edits of films in the late 1970's and early 1980's, maybe make the graphics reflect that (like the Bolson Media Company logo in the beginning).

(2) design a logo similar to what could be done in the 1980's.  Not so much new age-y or cheesy, but what you could see 20th century fox or Warners doing if they did a recreation of their logo.

(3) Adrian is in the UK, so maybe make a play with that (the shape of Britain changes into Adywan, like an accordion).

(4) then again, you could always do the logo like the first New Line Cinema logo.

As for myself, I would just slightly update the ANH:R logo.

I checked these Logos and there not my Cup of Tea also Im also from the UK.. I want to stay away from Flags or anything that is directed to one area. people on this site are from all over the world and that is awesome..
 So Stay Awesome

Firstly, I think this discussion should be continued over at the general Revisited topic. But I'm no moderator, so I'll just leave it at that, haha.

But I don't think that Adywan will just let his logo go untouched for "round two", as it were. And I'm sure once he whips it out, we'll all love it.

Regarding general Topics, when i first made the logo for A new hope i discussed it on the Star wars Revisited thread, and now im just doing it here, I dont think Ady will have a problem with it as hes pretty cool

Anyway we need a new one as the old one wasnt in HD and i dont know where the old files are :-(
