The issue with Metropolis is which of the many versions does one synch Pink Floyd to?
I’m surprised nobody has fanedited the Moroder version, (my introduction to the film in the 80’s, and still a favorite) adding in recovered lost footage and extending the songs.

One could argue Palpatine being focused on turning Luke distracted him from supervising the battle outside more closely.
In all the films to date, we’ve only seen three Jedi go bad. And only one of those was a master. Even if the Jedi ways were abandoned, that isn’t going to stop the Sith from popping up.

Arguably, Vader sacrificed himself to save Luke. Throwing Palpy down the shaft fried his life support system, and Vader probably knew getting that close to the Emperor while he was throwing lightning bolts around would likely be fatal.
And that, in the Star Wars universe, gets you off the hook for all your misdeeds. 😉

The Warner Archive version is supposed to be remastered in widescreen, so that would be better quality than the LD.

My favourite silent film’s probably Lon Chaney’s Phantom of the Opera.
Ending’s a tad weak, but Chaney’s brilliantly unnerving. And I just love the two-colour Technicolor sequences.
That the soundstage at Universal Studios where the Opera House set stood all those decades was finally torn down a couple years ago is almost criminal. They dismantled the set and removed it prior to the demolition, but who knows if they will ever reassemble it?

Still scariest Dracula. And incredible the film still exists today, given it was supposed to be destroyed for violating copyright law.
First silent movie I ever saw! In 1976 no less. A PBS station inexplicably ran it in the middle of the day when I was home sick instead of being in school. It’s haunted me ever since. The missing frames when ol’ Max rises out of his coffin made it into a scary jump cut.
Shadow of The Vampire is a creepy and fictional behind the scenes tale about the making of Nosferatu, that’s pretty good if you haven’t seen it.
People thumbing their noses at the powers that be to save a movie from oblivion? Sounds kind of familiar. 😉

When is Frink coming back?
I assume the ban is lasting at least a month, looking at the date of last activity. That would mean 9 more days at least.
*shrug* I’m not really sorry he’s gone, though. As unpopular a position as that might be.
A gentle reminder not to knock on people who aren’t able to respond here.
I understand having limits on what one can say about someone who is banned or otherwise unable to respond and defend themselves. One certainly shouldn’t be allowed make fun of, personally attack, or name call such. But if you are going to ban all negative opinions about such, positive opinions about such should also be banned(imagine if you will how unfair we would all think it would be if mods on a forum said you were allowed to give positive opinions about Trump or some other politician but not negative opinions). Besides, if the person can’t respond be the person is banned, the mods must either agree that it is the person’s own fault that they can’t respond or that they banned someone that didn’t deserve to be banned.
Hence the gentle reminder so it doesn’t reach that level. And comparing a banned forum member to a politician is an apples and oranges argument if I’ve ever heard one.

Oh they definitely had a reason. It’s diningenuous to call it a mistake but these things catch your eye. Especially when the floor flops too.
Doh! I didn’t spot that. I was looking at the object between them that doesn’t reverse. Very strange.

And don’t forget
I’m surprised I never heard those on Dr. Demento around Halloween. (I heard the other two I posted every year.) Not surprised Alice Cooper did songs about the subject. 😉

You know you’ve seen ROTS too many times when you realize Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Mace should be falling to their deaths in this sequence. 😛

Hopefully they just stop.
I enjoyed 7, mostly disliked 8, and currently feel really very little one way or the other towards 9.
Rogue One was an interesting side show but I didn’t bother with solo.
So yeah… just make it stop.
You shouldn’t take your frustrations out on Solo. It’s actually a fun movie in spite of it’s troubled production history.
Well half of that statement’s right.
YMMV.

My Dad turned me on to listening to old radio show rebroadcasts back in the 70’s, so I think I’ve heard the radio version a few times. The title is certainly familiar. I somehow missed the Sci-Fi channel airings, and I was an avid viewer in the 90’s.
As with lost BBC shows, who knows what will turn up or where.

Congrats! Lucky for you the competition was light.
Now if only a good print of ROTS would show up. 😃
