Episode II: Attack of the Ridiculousness ***NEW 14 MONTH ANNIVERSARY DVD NOW AVAILABLE***

You know the part when Boba picks up Jango's head, Can we have jango say something, maybe a clip from the black knight in monty pythons holy grail movie "it's only a flesh wound"? Apologies if this has been suggested already.

It's just the empty helmet Boba picks up. The head rolls out and away when Mace lops it off. Blink and you'll miss it unless you go frame by frame.

I could see some sick twisted mind pasting Temura's head into the Boba scene though. ;)

Episode II: Attack of the Ridiculousness ***NEW 14 MONTH ANNIVERSARY DVD NOW AVAILABLE***

Undecided. The audio at the end of Terminator might work pretty well, both for the crushing and the yelling.

I can see where a crunch sound might be too gruesome. Having Padme yell or simply say "ouch!" might be enough.

Natalie does say "You're breaking my heart" in Episode III. Does she say "hand" anywhere in the prequels or some other film?

Scientific evidence as to why the Stormtroopers had miserable aim (and why the good guys had nearly flawless aim)
Time

As was said in the movie, the station was designed around a "direct large scale assault". They didn't anticipate "snub fighters" ever mounting an attack.

Tarkin and his lackeys believed their own hype about the Death Star being invulnerable, and scaring people into submission once word spread about Alderaan. It probably had a light complement of TIE's the same way Titanic didn't have enough lifeboats.

In Jedi, the DS II seems to have a lot more fighters protecting it.

Lucas and Frazetta
Time

Lucas is holding a Frazetta print or something in his hand, maybe he was just getting it signed?

Frazetta did do some art for Battlestar Galactica that was used to promote the series, and grace the covers of the early novels.

Should Anakin/Vader have been at Padme's funeral?
Time

That's a good point. We saw sporting events being watched in the bar in Episode II, so there ought to be news broadcasts and even a "C-Span" for the Senate.

Considering the number of attempts on Padme's life, a lot of questions would be raised over her death.

Anakin might have been famous before he left Tatooine if a certain pod race was broadcast off world.

It would have been interesting to see the propaganda broadcast by both sides in the Clone Wars.

I've often wondered how the Empire tried to make the Rebellion look bad in the eyes of Joe Average Imperial citizen.

Question regarding PT filming in Tunisia
Time

Puggo - Jar Jar's Yoda said:

Hey that greenscreen of George could be useful in some projects here.

Is it possible that they just filmed some blank shots of the desert in Tunisia during Ep.2, so that they'd have backdrops of Tatooine for use in the greenscreen shots of Ep.3?

Shooting background plates "just in case" has been a common practice for a long time. I first read about it being done in the making of book for the first Star Trek movie. They shot plates of the V'Ger set from several angles in case retakes were needed after that complicated (and dangerous) set was taken down.

According to the DVD commentary tracks, there are a couple shots in Episode II and III that use backdrops of sets they would have had to rebuild otherwise.

John Carter (2012)

Just got back from seeing it a little while ago. What a great movie! This was everything the prequels should have been. Best movie I've seen in a while.

I wanted to bump this thread but since I was the last to post in it I didn't want to double post. =P It didn't do so well domestically but it did very well overseas. To date it's grossed about $179,327,248 worldwide. I'd say it's looking like it'll make its money back. I plan on seeing it again as well and I've heard the same from multiple people.

The media doesn't seem to give a crap about overseas grosses, and has already proclaimed it a bomb. Go figure.

Haven't seen the Disney version yet. I did see about half of the SciFi version, and it was pretty awful. The alien makeup was literally falling off an actor's face in some shots.

They also managed to make the most iconic movie location of all time look drab and uninteresting.

It's sad some people have no idea how many stories and films have taken their inspiration from Edgar Rice Burroughs' source material. Disney is probably in shock over getting edged out at the box office by yet another Dr. Seuss movie, and yet another joke fest based on an old tv show.

Meanwhile, that teeny bopper Running Man clone I never even heard of prior to a couple weeks ago, is probably going to gross even more obscene amounts of money than all of them. ;)

And who's fault is that, Silverwook?

SHUNNED! (and IGNORED!)

The weather here was atrocious over the weekend, and I was ill on top of that. I will see it when I'm feeling better, I promise. ;)
