Warner's marketing MOS as a Christian allegory is a little weird, since Superman's creators Siegel and Shuster were Jewish.

Who cares about faithfulness to the original source material when you can just knock off the Reeve movie for the nth time?

Haven't seen MOS yet. I thought the whole point of this particular reboot was to get away from the other films?

George Lucas wins Emmy for Clone Wars

Executive producers usually accept the award in this category. Similar to best picture at the Oscars.

If not for Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon, I'm not sure this category would even exist anymore. Daytime cartoon shows are all but extinct on the networks, and Saturday morning has become a dead zone of recycled educational programs that keeps the FCC off their backs.

So that's means you're the first person in the world to think Shades of Gray was a decent episode?

I really enjoyed Shades of Gray.

I usually like those "looking back" filler-episodes.

It's the only "clip show" ever done in the entire history of Trek. (The Menagerie notwithstanding.) And it was mostly done at the insistence of the studio to save a few bucks after some more expensive episodes that season.

How Riker can have memories of things he didn't actually see firsthand is a mystery!

Personally, I find the idea of making the series finale of one show the pilot episode of another entirely disagreeable - especially considering it was a pilot that was never picked up.

That wasn't the finale of TOS, it was the end of the second season.

Yes, I know. There was chance it could have been the last episode of the entire series at the time, though, and if it had been, then the show would have gone out on a very lame note.

Like Kirk getting body swapped with the psycho ex-girlfriend from hell was a great episode to end the series on. ;)

Maybe Janice Lester will be in the next movie?

IIRC, someone at the studio or network floated the idea of a Mr. Spock spinoff set on Vulcan, but Gene wasn't crazy about the idea.

It's unfortunate none of Gene's later concepts made it past being the movie of the week. Genesis II went through three incarnations, and the main character of Dylan Hunt was later transformed into the hero of Andromeda.

The Questor Tapes'  android title character later inspired Commander Data.

Spectre was way ahead of the X-Files and other spooky paranormal shows.

That wasn't the finale of TOS, it was the end of the second season. Mr. Seven, Isis, and Ms. Lincoln went on to have their "interesting experiences" in a series of novels published a few years back. Gary Seven has appeared in the comics over the years as well.

Backdoor pilots were stock and trade in the 60's. The Andy Griffith Show got it's start as an episode of The Danny Thomas Show, which then begat Gomer Pyle and Mayberry RFD.

We all know that stand-alone Star Wars movies are a done deal (Like it or not) so what do you want to see???
Time

I second the motion for an Obi Wan movie set between the trilogies. :)

Kids still love the Ewoks, right? Finish off the Endor trilogy. The kids who played Cindel and Mace could return, as could Warwick Davis. In my mind, Mace didn't die in Battle for Endor, and has gone Col. Kurtz on the Duloks. ;)

And I want just one Ewok film to live up to the misleading European poster art.

Seriously, who the heck is that guy between Wicket and Teek?

There has got to be a Tag and Bink movie. There's room for side splitting comedy in the SW universe. And Kevin Rubio has to write and direct it.

It would be so easy to Forrest Gump the actors into scenes from the saga now.

And since Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars...

Adapt the Seven Samurai homage from the early days into an animated film, so I can finally see Jaxxon on the big screen in all his bad ass glory. George be darned!

A New direction for Lucasfilm Animation
Time

I wish Disney would be a little more specific about what they have in mind for what's left of TCW. "Bonus content" doesn't really mean anything. These shows were in the pipeline well before the deal was struck.

Just run the unaired episodes in the fall, followed by a video release, and stop blowing blue smoke up the fandom's collective exhaust port already!
