Yep!
So we should look at the original Marvel run for clues?
Yep!
So we should look at the original Marvel run for clues?
I didn’t realize it had been that long without an update. I’ll ask.
Wow, didn’t know about an unreleased issue. Is there any evidence of how much of it was finished, if any pages were drawn at all?
I wondering if this series is also doubling as a test bed to see if certain directors can handle a Star Wars film?
How do these constant renumbering schemes not drive collector’s and comic shop employees insane?
I slept in the Hotel Sidi Driss in Tunisia in the early nineties, so I guess I have been to Tatooine and was invited by the Lars’ ? 😃
😉
Joonas has really become Chewie and is a worthy successor to the role. And that’s just the perfect gift for a Wookiee. (With the exception of a brush or comb!) I have one stashed away somewhere myself.
Awesome find! That letter could almost have been written this century. 😉
And wow, I didn’t know Sony had a prototype 8mm system that early. Lots of fascinating ancient tech in those pages. I didn’t know there were descrambler boxes with built in speakers designed to thwart VCR recording either. Diabolical!
The all black and white interior pages and simple layout remind me of the '70’s CB Radio magazines my Dad used to read.
Episode IX: What Do You Mean ‘Flash Gordon Approaching’?
I’d be up for a Sam J. Jones cameo. He still looks like he could throw Klytus onto those spikes. 😉
Man, Oscar crying making me oddly emotional.
Same here. There’s probably nothing quite like being on the set of a Star Wars film. And this is a major chapter in their lives that has ended, at least for now.
JEDIT:RogueLeader, you buzzkill! 😛
Not sure, a link to it was posted over at the DVD Talk forum.

Refresh my memory, who cancelled the book, Marvel or Lucasfilm?
Wasn’t there some hurt feelings over a storyline Lucasfilm ordered changes to? Or was that someone else’s plot?
That was the one with the gems that caused a deadly outbreak, and a flashback story about Han (who was still frozen at the time) shed light on the mystery? Given the ending of that particular story, I wonder if it’s a direct sequel, or simply using the framework…
Unless the cover is being a tad misleading, Valance only met Vader once, (as a bounty hunter anyway) and it was fatal for him.
But more Jaxxon? YAY!
And they couldn’t release it on May the 25th? 😉
I was able to see TNG, DS9, and B5 every Sunday night back to back on the same local channel here back then. Great way to wind down the weekend. 😃
It’s possible that the SE quickly replaced the OOT in existing film syndication contracts that were in place before the SE’s existed. It would certainly fit George’s modus operandi.
TNT and TBS are basic cable. 😉
Was it basic cable or broadcast? I saw TPM air on a local station around 2002 or 2003.
I don’t recall the originals playing on tv after 1997. And they probably had not been on tv in the U.S. for a few years prior, building up to the 20th anniversary and so as to not cannibalize sales of the One last time OOT video release. Spike Tv had the exclusive U.S. basic cable rights to the OT and the prequels from 2008-2014 and that was always the special editions.
The SE’s probably made the rounds on HBO and other pay cable networks before the Spike deal kicked in.
All the films (up to Rogue One) have been on TNT and TBS quite a lot lately. I presume they paid a hefty fee for exclusive basic cable rights.
There are several different hilt designs we’ve seen throughout the films, so different/unique colors doesn’t seem a stretch.
Kenner sure had a thing for yellow lightsabers back in the day. 😉
Hopefully this month. I’ve been dealing with health issues, and we’re getting one storm after another out here in California. The last one caused some blackouts, which finally killed the battery on my UPS/surge protector for my vintage gear. I need to replace that or move stuff around and hook things up elsewhere.
The replacement batteries are so pricey, it’s actually cheaper just to buy a new unit.
Yay! Lando! Did they dress Billy Dee in the costume from Solo, or is this a temp photoshop job?
Alien A is Maz’s and Yoda’s love child. 😛
And I can’t decide if if Alien N is Slenderman or Candlejack…
Saw discussion elsewhere about Episode IX that inevitably turned into another TLJ bitchfest, but this comment caught my eye…
I collect Star Wars Sideshow and Hot Toys figures and regret the three that I bought from the Sequel Trilogy. If I knew TLJ was going to be so bad I never would have bought them. Hopefully Abrams can salvage the trilogy with Episode IX.
Don’t blame your spending money on super expensive action figures on the movies! Sheesh!
