It would be interesting if they started with the old Marvel series numbering, but that might create the false expectation we'll see old characters unique to the original run.
I'd love it if they brought Jaxxon and some others back. He needs his own book though. ;)
Is Disney really going to allow a game with blood to come out now? That first image reminds me of how graphic Alan Dean Foster was in his descriptions of blaster shots in the SW novel. Violence in the movies has always been kind of the antiseptic side.
AT-AT's actually look more at home in that swamp then they did on Hoth.
I doubt the exact number of years is even going to be talked about. The movie will start in the middle of something big like the original did. Maybe we'll see someone doing Jedi stuff, and in a pause in the action, they pull back their hood, and we see it's Luke, a lot older than we last saw him. That's all that is needed to communicate the passage of time.
I merely think it's too much to have to explain up front to say a hundred years has gone by. That and our heroes would have too many kids and grandkids to fit in one movie. ;)

Prequels notwithstanding, the amount of time that passed between films seemed to parallel the amount of time we waited for them to come out.
I keep hearing The Warriors theatrical is out there, but nobody can tell me for sure, or if it's got the original mono.
I have trouble believing there was a lack of interest in the HBO showings. Not everyone had a VCR at that point, or was willing to use pay per view even if it was an option. I sure as heck couldn't get my parents interested.
If anything, it was the CBS premiere that was undercut by all the cable tv airings. It was beaten in the timeslot by the trashy miniseries Lace.
Starlog once ran a cartoon with a similar gag not long after ROTJ came out. Luke hugged Yoda in his grief, and pulled the puppet right off the hand. ;)
Yoda could also randomly speak in Miss Piggy's or Grover's voice as he expires?

Why does Ebay still have private listing auctions? You can't discern a bidder's identity in regular auctions anymore, so it seems redundant. I bet they still charge more for it though. ;)

Stayed in a hotel once that actually had a Room 666, and another that had a 13th floor, with a room 1313. I'm sure nothing sinister or scary happens inside either one.
