It has gone to the great spammer graveyard.
It has gone to the great spammer graveyard.
That's all I needed to know. Disney ought to make episodes a little easier to watch online. (Weren't TCW episodes put up on the official site?) XD is treated like a premium channel by more than a few cable providers.
Seriously? That alone raises a red flag. Unless somebody can convince me otherwise, that link should be removed.
Is that a legit source? We shouldn't link to obvious pirated content.
Facebook of all things is making my browser freak out over an invalid security certificate. Did they get hacked or something?

Don't mention it. And please, take care of yourself and lie down. A migraine is bad enough without staring at a bright screen.
This site is actually pretty easy on my eyes compared to some others.
Doh! And that is why I should just lay down when I have a migraine, instead of being on the internet. ;)
Many thanks, Leonardo!

Disappointed with the lack of JEJ, but enjoyed the finale overall. I was hoping a major character would die, and I wonder if Vader is going to replace the Inquisitor in season 2. I don't mind the Clone Wars character popping up, though it didn't really feel germane to anything. Perhaps Vader will kill her; that'd be interesting.
I appreciated the nod by showing Tarkin surviving the attack by evacuating.
Gee, how is that not a spoiler? >_<
Not as disturbing as that K/S video set to a certain Nine Inch Nail song.
And let's face it, TOS had a lot of kinky things they got past the censors. ;)

I couldn't find a shot of the pulsating throbbing "root" Nona uses to cure Kirk of the Mugatu bite. ;)

Me? What did I do?
Pointing out all the threads that guy spammed. I only saw one initially.
Thanks for saving me some time, Warbler. :)

Deliverance (1972)
With the way everybody talks about this movie, I was expecting something almost on the level of The Shawshank Redemption. All I really got, though, was a slightly above average movie. I guess Ned Beatty squealing like a pig is tremendously memorable. *shrug*
B-
It was pretty shocking for audiences back in the 70's. Well into the 80's it was severely edited for tv, leaving most of what happens in a certain scene a mystery if you've never seen it uncut. I'm not certain you could even get away with that in a movie today.
It's also pretty much ingrained into the popular culture. (And probably cemented the reputation of inbred backwoods folks forever.) Several years back, there was a truck commercial where these guys are in the woods, having a good time. When they hear Dueling Banjos coming out of the forest, they freak and set a new speed record for getting the hell out of there. Not ending up like Ned Beatty's character was a selling point.
Yeah, I think they got that idea from an old Trek novel set before TMP, where Kirk inspects the ongoing 1701 refit by taking a ride in the real Space Shuttle Enterprise, which has been restored and retrofitted with 23rd century propulsion.
Probably a coincidence, but The Undiscovered Country was on Sci Fi today.
Mirror Universe Enterprise had a much better theme. ;)

Kobayashi Maru, indeed.
But he beat the Kobayashi Maru ; )
Yes, but the current dilemma is a "no win" scenario no matter what choice he makes.
This is the cliche thread, not the genre thread. ;)
Kobayashi Maru, indeed. It's a charity event. Some people have a lot of balls, (the mostly anonymous online kind) to knock him over this.
The NY Daily News is a rag not fit to be bird cage liner anyway.

Nimoy was also one of my favorite Columbo villains.
I read elsewhere that was the only episode where the usually unflappable Lt. Columbo lost his cool when confronting the suspect.
This may be the ultimate tribute to Mr. Nimoy. From an astronaut aboard the space station...

The scary singing children thing in horror movies is getting really old. The latest offender is the ads for The Lazarus Effect, which itself is the latest variation on "don't raise the dead!"
Thanks!

movie cliques
What, like kids in high school?
Doh! I meant cliches...
Do we already have a thread for movie cliques that need to die?
Let us have no more thread derailments, and no more more morning after post deletions. Think before you post. Thank you, and have a nice day.
I wonder if they ever performed that at a con?
