Maybe it's actually Lumpy in that scene, all grown up? ;)

Maybe it's actually Lumpy in that scene, all grown up? ;)

They're the digital equivalent of bumper stickers on a car. I don't mind one or two, but I have seen forums in the past where it was getting to a ridiculous level.
Yes, bad post conversions have hurt the market as a whole. Guardians of The Galaxy had pretty damn good 3D though.
I don't think the new jewel in Disney's crown is going to be a rush job.
I have yet to see a major release in a multiplex where there wasn't at least one auditorium with a 2D presentation offered. Your mileage may vary.

F*ck you Lucasfilm and Disney. F*ck you to hell!
Really? Who whizzed on your Pop Tarts this morning?
Do not ruin the good post trailer mood I'm in...

Did anybody notice that when the garrulous dudebro moderator asked about the prequels (which happened at least once - a question about balancing the asthetics of the OT and the PT) Abrams steered the discussion back to the OT, and his love for its lived in look? He didn't even acknowledge the PT in passing, which I fully expected (something along the lines of "And because the prequels introduced some interesting new vistas and in the same universe, there will be a little of that" etc.) Nothing. Just praise for the OT.
Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted by that. And I know it might be seen as corporate pandering to a fanbase that overwhelmingly (and with good reason) favors the OT over the PT. But I still didn't expect it because I thought it'd be seen as an outright indictment of Lucas (who is still alive and, presumably, still on good terms with Lucasfilm).
If this attitude carries over into the ST (i.e. no references to anything PT-specific, midichlorians, gungans, clonetroopers, etc.) I will be even more (delightfully) stunned. And I will find myself holding on to hope for something I've hoped for since the Disney acquisition was first announced in 2012 - a remake of the Prequel trilogy.
...or was there actually a reference to the PT and I just missed it? In which case, well... move along... move along...
I must confess I had to look up what garrulous means. It's not every day I learn a new word. Thanks! :)
I hope this stuff will be archived, because there's no way I'm going to be able to watch all of it this weekend.
I'm crying right now. Seriously, that was beautiful, all of it. They nailed it. Seeing Han and Chewie at the end was like seeing long lost family again.
Mel Brooks ruined your childhood? ;)
With Episode 7 coming out this was probably inevitable...
Just once, I'd like to see them simply continue the merchandising gag.

Sebastian Shaw passed away in 1994, well before Hayden's head was attached to his body.
If original Boba Fett voice Jason Wingreen, or the guy in the wolfman outfit in the cantina, (who was replaced by a puppet) ever hit the con circuit, I have no idea...
A full body shot of the new trooper armor! From the SW Celebration booklet...

Strange indeed. I need to find the LD capture I did, (if I still have it) and see how it compares.
Every music genre has it's duds. And hating on Disco is so 1979. ;)

I must admit Putin as Dr. Evil is hilarious in a sad sort of way...
JEDIT: I didn't see the dead guys at the top at first. Saddam's sons I presume? Yikes...

And people who come here for the sole purpose of trying to sell their "collectibles" and getting huffy at Frink's peculiar sense of humor does not qualify as trolling.
This is very disturbing coming from a mod. Whether it was a sole purpose or not should be irrelevant, as it was a completely legitimate purpose. After all, there is a separate section dedicated to trading collectibles. The guy politely made the thread and Frink made a disrespectful and off-topic comment.
So what is then the difference between "peculiar sense of humour" and trolling?
(It must be noted that this was just one of the countless examples.)
There has been a pattern of people only posting about their supposedly rare item that sub forum, and getting upset about the lack of serious responses, and or comments about said items dubious condition.
We're not Ebay or a SW collectibles site. (Most sellers seem to come here because we tend to come up tops in search engines.) I have tried to be helpful, but some people just get upset when nobody is offering to throw money at them.
If you title a topic "curious" and somebody makes a bi-curious joke, overreacting to said joke speaks more about you than the joke maker.
Yet the actor whose Emperor voice was replaced in ESB will be there.
Probably, and there will be more cover variants than there are stars in the sky. ;)
All of which predate the formal ban on sock puppet accounts. Nice try though.

Very funky! Never knew that track even existed, maybe Frink can use it? :)
Switch to decaf, Duracell. This isn't worth raising your blood pressure over.
This still isn't a 3D debate thread, and it's not an outhouse either...
Even a seedy bar has a bouncer though.
I do not advocate pestering this guy. He's entitled to his opinion, even if I think it's ill informed.

Where did I say I was against moderation here? I just don't want to have to be the one to do it. It was never part of the job description when I accepted this gig, and I'm feeling stretched pretty thin lately.
sorry, I thought you were coming down against, since you didn't even want this section ported over. I'll remove you from the against list. Do you wish to be added to for list?
I think I should abstain.
