Info: 'Captain Eo' - Laserdisc on Ebay; the movie or documentary?
Time

My memory could be playing tricks as I haven't been on ST since 1998, but it was a little scratchy in places last time I rode it. I think it's all digital now?

It's also possible the projection equipment was kept in better shape than most multiplexes, combined with the short length of both attractions might have helped?

As the projector for ST would have been "on board" the simulator, it must have been designed to cope with all the movement of the ride?

I suspect all the video monitors throughout the ride were fed by Laserdisc, especially the monitor aboard the starspeeder with the flight instructions, communications from rebel pilots, and the "rear" view of Artoo in his socket.

Windows 10 Update Rollout
Time

Those tv commercials cry out to be parodied.

Imagine, these kids won't have to remember passwords, or obsess about security. Because Windows 10 will have achieved sentience, and enslave all of humanity soon after. Power to the machine state!

For them, every screen is meant to be touched. But, so help me, if you touch my screen with your filthy little hands...!

Because these kids will grow up with Windows 10. Unless, of course, their parents are dirty hippies who use Macs...

Crispin Glover on how he'd preferred Back to the Future to have ended
Time

Your post is more eloquent though. :)

Also, Marty getting the sweet cherry ride plays right into the accident that leaves him a very different person in the original 2015. So making things better for his folks had negative consequences too.

I can understand Glover being upset over an actor being made up to look like him in BTTF II though.

Interesting perspective, but George becoming successful was a side effect of being inspired by Marty to write his book. And it was arguably a better fate than the original timeline of being in a pity marriage, dead end job, and constantly psychologically beaten down by the same bully from high school.

And it's Marty thinking of personal gain that causes no end of trouble in the sequel. That goes against the grain of 80's materialism.

Disney used to have to make a lot of prints. Don't forget Star Tours originally used 70mm as well, and rides like The Haunted Mansion once used 16mm film loops for many of the "live" ghosts. I used to know where to look on that ride to spot the film projectors, and they were replaced with video projection sometime in the mid 80's.

There was an abbreviated version of the making of that played in the ride queue on tv monitors. That's what I suspect the Laserdisc might be from.

They never would have used LD to project the movie in the actual attraction.

Power Rangers should be banned for being Power Rangers.

I could never take Power Rangers seriously, as I'd seen the far superior Dynaman on cable only a few years before. ;)

I guess the music rights alone will keep a DVD release from happening. :(

Not a movie but a season of a TV series. Power Rangers Time Force was reedited in response to 9/11 to lessen the shots of exploding buildings and the after effects of the exploding buildings. Complete with an episode eventually being temporarily banned from airing, even tho it was reedited too, because of how it depicted the building destruction in the episode.

So when Disney bought Power Rangers they apparently threw out the original masters of the unreedited versions. Leaving only poor VHS quality backups of the originals that weren't suitable for a home release. So when Saban bought back Power Rangers he was left unable to release the originals due to Disney throwing them out.

Wouldn't most, if not all the exploding buildings be in the original Japanese footage though?
