LOL!

LOL!

Trumpy isn’t a private citizen anymore.
I thought he was entitled to privacy for his records from previous years, and only his years in office would have to be disclosed to the public.
But apparently, that’s false…although not in the way you would expect.
Individual income tax returns–including those of public figures–are private information, according to the IRS.
Trumpy is the one who said he would release them when the IRS audit is over, then quietly backtracked to never releasing them, period.
Trumpy isn’t a private citizen anymore.
He could have expressed his dismay without being a sh*thead about it. Doubly stupid to actually say such things in an actual physical letter on official state stationery. (On the taxpayer’s dime no less.) That’s going to come back to haunt him in an election.
That a documentary made in 2004 wasn’t shot in HD, (if only to future proof it) is weird.
Are you kidding? There were tv shows back then not filmed in HD, nevermind a silly documentary.
Shows shot on videotape, sure. Again, the industry knew HD was around the corner. Unless those involved thought a comprehensive doc about Star Wars and it’s impact on the world was an ephemeral project.
You consider EOD silly?
Absolutely. It was crap. Really didn’t tell us anything that we didn’t know.
And, in 2004, HD wasn’t just “around the corner.” It came out in 2002 but that doesn’t mean everything was being shot that way. I doubt the budget was that high on this but who knows? Regardless, HD was still relatively new at the time.
High Definition video was around in the 80’s. At least one tv movie and a feature film were shot in the earliest HD format.

I know that a lot of fans who talk about the prequels as though they’re the worst films ever tend to watch them from time to time. I actually don’t think the prequels are among the worst films ever, but I don’t enjoy them at all and I plan on never watching them ever again. If any of you are here, what exactly is the appeal of revisiting and somewhat frequently rewatching films that you can’t stand?
From an academic point of view, if making movies or telling stories is your ambition in life, there is value in studying movies that are “bad”. If you understand how and why they went wrong, you can avoid the mistakes and bad choices that were made by the filmmakers.
I’ve read that Manos: The Hands Of Fate is being used in college filmmaking courses as a textbook example of how not to make a movie. 😉

It’s also possible it was shot in HD, but the film clips were SD. Or the whole thing was edited in SD. Who really knows when George and Lucasfilm were involved?
I couldn’t even sit through it once. It’s not funny and it’s not exciting and it’s two hours long. I’d probably rather watch all three prequels in a row than the Holiday Special once.
Rifftrax…

More musicians being stopped at the border.

I think he just worded that part poorly. He’s saying all this in support of this far-right Dutch politician.
So, Nigel Powers was right all along? 😉
And wow, that guy looks like an evil Supermarionation puppet.
It’s a confusing statement to begin with.
That looks like a vintage movie still to me.
It is to some people unfortunately.
That’s how subtle racists work. They never use the obvious slurs, they express themselves through flowery language and vague terms. That the usual suspects who have more white sheets around than they have beds for applauded the remarks tells you all you need to know.
Kirk Lazarus: Everybody knows you never go full retard.
Tugg Speedman: What do you mean?
Kirk Lazarus: Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, ‘Rain Man,’ look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Counted toothpicks, cheated cards. Autistic, sho’. Not retarded. You know Tom Hanks, ‘Forrest Gump.’ Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and won a ping-pong competition. That ain’t retarded. Peter Sellers, “Being There.” Infantile, yes. Retarded, no. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard. You don’t buy that? Ask Sean Penn, 2001, “I Am Sam.” Remember? Went full retard, went home empty handed…
Full Retard
This crosses the line. Thinly veiled personal attacks are not going to fly around here. First warning.

It would be interesting to learn why Kenner didn’t make a Ewok Village Leia, not mention the slave outfit.
I think she knew the Ewoks were potential allies as much as Luke did. And hanging out with them until Han and Luke found her was a safer option than wandering around in a forest full of Biker scouts.

The dress material isn’t different from what the Ewoks use for hoods.

So they probably made it for her. The sleeves might be undergarments from her commando outfit though.
Just saw a Lego commercial for Rogue One playsets, and it’s hilarious how they ignore the pesky issue of Jyn and Cassian dying in the movie. 😉

At least Moroff gets a bigger part.
I guess George wasn’t kidding about that poetry thing.

For anyone keeping track, R1 is still playing in a few theaters, (sadly none near me) and crossed the $530 million mark this weekend.
Can’t imagine why a mod would remove the link.
