I thought taking the kids to a movie they want to see but you probably would find a tough slog goes with the territory. How else do the Despicable Me flicks make that much dough?

My Mom took me to some pretty awful kiddie matinees back in the day. (One movie later turned up on MST3K.) She deserved a medal for that.

The tactical display in the Yavin base could have helpful signage.

“You are here” for the rebel moon. “Really big ball of gas” for Yavin proper. “Impending Certain Doom” for the Death Star.

Raw footage? Wasn’t all the negatives burned by Kubrick?

Not the negs. Rushes, or dailies as they’re called intended to be viewed in a screening room to check the progress of the previous days of shooting. The can in the auction was empty.

In my experience people seldom get up to complain when the movie is out of focus. Only weirdos like us would even notice the aspect ratios changing. 😉

IIRC, wasn’t the whole movie was shot with IMAX 3D cameras?

I’ve been pretty happy with them up to now. The termite treatment they’ve done is more effective than tenting the house and gassing the hell out of it. (And you don’t have to leave for the duration.) In any case, it has turned out to be a small incursion rather than a large invasion like last year. This house is like swiss cheese to insects that small.

With the amount of time it takes to make these films, he won’t be a teenager very long.

Marvel has a certain level of autonomy though. They kept up 3D disc releases in the U.S. when Disney was releasing their own 3D titles in Europe only.

I had no idea Hobby Lobby had this guy on it’s payroll. 😉
